Our sweet Nova girl has fled the nest and is off on her next adventure with her new family! She is such a special girl and definitely imprinted her little paw on my heart. 🥹❤️ She is now with her full blooded older sister, Stormy, who was a treat to see on Nova's go-home day! Their momma said they are already so close and attached to eachother, which makes me so happy to hear! I can't wait to receive all the updates and pictures of them living their best life together!!

Only one more week with this sweetheart! 9 weeks old today and I just love everything about her. She has her mom's quirky personality which never fails to make me giggle. It's going to be tough letting her go, but I'm so blessed to know she has a wonderful home waiting for her. 🥹🥰

Hey Boo! 👻 It's the first day of fall which means its time to indulge in all the spooks and sweet fall treats! Nova (previously Spirit) couldn't help but sneak a lick of my caramel apple! 😋 I can't get over her bushy eyebrows!

What is better than enjoying a nice cool morning on the farm, sipping a crisp apple cider lotus, and dreaming about fall? 🍂 Enjoying it with the sweetest 7 week old puppy snuggled in my lap. Miss Spirit has been given the name Nova by her new family. 🥰 In about 3 week she gets to be spoiled by her new mom and dad alongside her older sister, Stormy (who is the spunkiest little girl from Dumplin and Dash's previous litter). I'm so excited they will be together and congratulations Breanna on your second Farmhouse Dachshunds pup!!

Glad we got in some outside play time and pool time yesterday before the stormy weather. ⛈️ Today is already turning into a day of snuggles! Lucky me!! 🥰

I can't take much more cuteness from this sweet girl! Yesterday she joined in on the conga line of weens chasing eachother around the backyard, or at least tried her best to keep up. She couldn't quite help but trip over her cute puppy paws and short little legs, haha! 🐾

Spirit is 5 weeks old today and boy has it been a roller-coaster. Raising a singleton with no other litters on the ground comes with it's challenges and worries, but Spirit sure is defying the odds. She loves people, which is clear to see with all the kisses and tail wags. She loves playing with our older dogs who are so gentle and patient with her! The instant she sees them she becomes so wiggly with anticipation. With a little encouragement she has conquered our exposure activities and mentally stimulating challenges with determination and confidence! I've been a worried mama researching ways to help with the physical and behavioral challenges being a singleton pup can bring and seeing all these positive signs has been encouraging!
Potty training is in full swing and we are just getting started on crate introduction and clicker training. We went on a little walk around the farm this morning and took some pictures! She is such a sweetheart! 💕

Spirit has grown so much and her color is lightening up, showcasing the brindling throughout her body. She's a longhaired beauty and I can't believe this precious girl is 3 weeks old!

For those of you on our waitlist anxiously waiting for news on Clove's breeding with our Guster boy, unfortunately, the vet couldn't find any babies on the ultrasound. I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. I truly believe Clove decided she just isn't quite ready to be a mama yet and there's nothing wrong with waiting for the amazing little ones I know she'll have someday. ❤️🐾

1 week Pupdate on our litte singleton, Spirit! ✨️🐾

After a rough start, we finaly saw a positive shift in her energy and weight in the last couple days! 🤗Spirit is now up to 13.4oz and is gaining fast. I think she's making up for all the days she was struggling to maintain her birth weight. Plus, she has mama's milk all to herself! 😋🍼

We started ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) and ESI (Early Scent Introduction) training. We started a few days later than normal as our focus was on helping Spirit get stronger. Nevertheless, this training is an important part of our neonatal care curriculum as it has many benefits for our babies.

Dumplin is an amazing and attentive mom as always! It is so special and bittersweet watching her raise her last little one and I am beyond happy to see Spirit is now thriving! 🥹

Our sweet baby girl, Spirit, is getting a little stronger by the day! She still needs support every couple hours staying latched onto mom so she can get an adequate amount of milk. She's been maintaining 8.5oz and although she hasn't lost any weight, she hasn't gained any either. She loves wiggling around and being snuggled up to her mom! 🥹❤️ We are hoping to see a positive shift in her weight soon.

This morning Dumplin's last litte dumple made her arrival. 🥰🐾 Dumplin is a bit tired, but otherwise doing extremely well following her c-section! We however had a slow start with her little girl as she was struggling to stay latched onto momma. After some supplemental care she is latching, but is still a weak nurser. We will continue to closely monitor her weight and do what we can to build her strength.

Our beautiful girl Dumplin has some news to share! She is expecting one little singleton to make an arrival next week! 🐾 This will be Dumplin and Dash's final litter together before Dumplin is spayed and lives out her long retired life here on the farm. We are preparing for this to be a c-section to ensure the safest outcome for our sweet momma and her baby. Progesterone testing is already scheduled multiple days next week starting on Tuesday, so please send prayers and good vibes Dumplin's direction. We are so excited to spoil and welcome this special baby into the world! 🤗

P.S. Our waitlist will receive a pregnancy announcement in the next few days. As a reminder none of our babies here at Farmhouse Dachshunds are available for holds until they reach 4 weeks old.

Some of the weens and I had a great time camping with some family! 🏕 It was Pearl and Clove's first camping trip and they absolutely loved all the swimming, rock climbing, and of course, the other little critters they found running around.🐿 Where are your favorite camping locations (bonus points for including pictures of your doggies enjoying the great outdoors)?

What a Good Boy!

I am so pleased with how clicker training is progressing. They can even sit politely and make eye contact on their own! These babies are so stinking smart! This last week we also started using the service bell and they are getting the hang of that too!
