“My 3k horses stand in with my 40k horses.
I’ve had a $500 horse earn 100k.
I’ve watched a 35k horse become a 5k horse with 1 X-ray.
I owned a mare who earned 107k, who was bought for $700.
Horses don’t know what you paid, they don’t know what they’ve won.
But they do know how you treat them.
There’s not a single horse on my place that’s treated any differently then the others.
You can’t put a price tag on a soul.
Today as I walked my pastures.
I pet the noses of horses who’s owners failed them. I pet the noses of horses who could have been winners had they been given the chance.
I also get to pet the winners.
Today I kissed the noses of colts who one day can become winners, if their owners bring them to their full potential.
Horses know no dollar value.
They do know if you love and believe in them.”
Love and treasure them and they will try their hearts out for you!!!!

Before you choose the horse girl, just remember, her horses come first. She will be very unlikely to give up a really good day of riding, to go drive around aimlessly. She will sometimes be late, and have hay stuck in her hair on special date nights. She might cancel last minute cause her horse has a scratch and she wants to tend to him. She probably wont want to party a ton because the next morning shes gotta get up early to load horses for a show. She will use your hoodies to go feed in, use your truck to haul hay in (if she doesn't already have her own) she will drag you out to video and take photos of her riding any chance she can get! Have I mentioned horses are expensive, and they continue to cost even when they are not in use, unlike your bike, sleds or vehicles that can be parked and not eat! She probably wont wanna go away for to many nights at a time, cause she doesn't like that she'll have to hire someone to feed and water her horses!

But, horse girls are a lot more than just a pain in the ass, they will teach you what patience is, what strength is, & what determination is. You will watch them be told they can not do something , and watch them work everyday to do it. You will be amazed and what she can do with some bailing twine and duct tape, You will be fascinated at how agile and strong she can be at the same time. You will smile when she swings a leg over , because she is on cloud 9. You will cheer her on, and be proud to announce that, that is your girl up there. You will watch her get dumped and get back on and continue her ride.

You will learn to love it, or you wont. Horse girls aren't for everyone, they arent always easy, but they are hard to forget! 🐴🐴

Why massage?

(This applies to both humans and horses)

If you or your horse are suffering from sore and tight muscles, a sports massage may be just what you need.

You could have other therapists with different forms of treatment out eg: chiropractor, osteopathy, k-tape, red light, and so on, but you will still need a massage to help relieve those sore and tight muscles. All other therapies have their benefits, but they lack what a massage can do; physically manipulate the muscle.

Every movement you do in your daily life is down to how well your muscles are functioning in harmony with the rest of your body, the same goes for your horse. If these muscles aren’t performing optimaly, movement will be restricted, making everyday tasks difficult and even putting you at risk of injury.

Massage is the only therapy that will manipulate the skin, fascia, and muscles, helping to lengthen and loosen. Additionally, it will help to improve circulation, range of movement, relieve spasms, enhance muscle tone and much more!

For example; a chiropractor can re-align joints, but cannot manipulate the tight muscles and fascia. This tension is pulling the joint out of alignment and only a massage will be able to help release the muscles. Without massage, you will be back in the chiropractic office month after month, wondering why your pain keeps coming back.

I fully support the work of other therapists, however, bodies are complex and you need the right person for the problem. You should have regular massage work done alongside other forms of treatment for optimal health and well-being. Whether it’s you or your horse, you each only have one body, so why not take care of it as much as you can while you can!

EQUINE SPORTS MASSAGE, what is it?
Equine sports massage is the therapeutic application of professional sports massage techniques applied to the horse.
A thorough understanding of anatomy and the interaction of bones, joints and muscles is the basis of proven physical and mental therapy that is the art of massage.
During massage i look at the horse as a whole and attempt to consider all possible causes and effects of any tension while interpreting a horse’s reaction and expression. Human athletes prepare themselves for strenuous activities through massage and stretching techniques. Why not treat your horse the same, after all, they’re athletes too 🐎

What are the signs❓

Signs your horse is tight in the poll may include:

🔹Reluctance to accept the bridle
🔹Head or ear shy
🔹Reluctance to be caught
🔹Not keen on being brushed at the top of the neck or near the ears
🔹Reluctance to work into a contact
🔹Tight through the neck on one rein
🔹Snatching at the reins
🔹Unable to collect
