Yesterday the guys loaded up a small show team and headed to the CEMRBA show in Sedalia, while I (grandma rabbit) was coaching a cross country meet. Although all Chases convention rabbits were at home soaking up the air conditioning, he still had an amazing show winning BOB and BOS in mini rex and BOB in rex for Show A.

The guys took zero pictures, so this is the only one taken to post 😂. If anyone needs a crocheted poncho modeled, Chase apparently is the guy to ask!

This was BH Fancy Girls last show, she was bred a few days ago.
BHFR and BH Fancy Girl both share the same mom, BH Baby Fancy. Baby Fancy’s the only living offspring produced by BH Fancy (Chases first homegrown multi-BIS winning rabbit and 2023 youth MSRPA rabbit of the year). While Baby Fancy was only a parts rabbit and never made the Bun Hub show team herself, she has produced BH Fancy Girl from her first litter with BH Greg and BH Fancy Nancy and BHFR from her second litter sired by BH Ralph. Baby Fancy currently has a litter in the box with BH Magic Mike.

We’ve had a few weeks break from showing, but have been busy in the rabbitry with lots of litters coming up. Here’s a cute one who caught my eye last night. This litter is sired by BH Ralph, but looks like a miniature of his littermate brother BH Randall 💙

Congratulations to our friend Jenna on her wins with BHMX2! It’s nice to see MX2 doing well at her new home.
MX2’s out of BH Magic Mike and BHXR’s first litter. Her littermate will be making her show debut in a few weeks on the Bun Hub show team and we’re excited to see how she does 🖤

The boys headed to Abilene, KS yesterday for the Smoky Hill RBA double show.
They had a great day! BH Fancy Nancy picked up her first BOB and 2nd RIS for show A in mini rex, while BH Senorita picked up a BOB in rex. Show B in mini Rex BH Millie was BOB and BH No No picked up his first BOSB.
They left at 3:30 am and got home at 10 pm, but had a good time with great friends!
BH Fancy Nancy’s a junior broken doe and the granddaughter of the beloved BH Fancy, who was the 2023 MSRPA youth rabbit of the year . Fancy Nancy was 1/18 in multiple shows at the Quad show in Sedalia a few weeks ago and we’re very excited to see how she continues to develop. (PS, she’s another of grandma rabbits favorites that was saved from being culled 😂)!
BH Sassy got a break this weekend and her sister BH Senorita got her first rex BOB!

🔥BH Chelsea was on fire this weekend at the Quad Show, winning breed all 4 shows, plus the mini rex specialty! She ended up with 2 BIS, BISS, 1st RIS and 2nd RIS.
This was the largest show Chase has participated in besides national shows with 160+ open mini rex!
Chase also had a good rex showing with BH Sassy winning a BOB and 2 BOS.
Congratulations to all our friends on their wins! There were a lot of amazing rabbits there this weekend. As always, we enjoyed seeing our friends and we even had a rabbit show wedding!!

Today we headed to Clinton for the WC 40th Anniversary Show. Chase had an amazing start to his fall open show season!!!
🎉Show A- Best in Show with mini rex BH Chelsea & Reserve in Show with rex BH Sassy!
🎉Show B- Best in Show with rex BH Sassy!
The open mini rex showed up today with 140 rabbits entered. Chase won Show A mini rex BOB with BH Chelsea and BOS with BH Little Bear. Show B BH Little Bear won BOS and BOB was Dave & Peggy’s pretty junior black doe.
BH Chelsea and BH Little Bear are littermates. That pairing had produced many amazing rabbits. BH Ruby and BH Otis are currently rebred and a winning combination.
BH Sassy was on fire today! Next weeknd her sister Senorita gets to join in on the show tables.
It was a fun day and exciting to see our friends. We look forward to seeing them again next weekend at the Quad Show in Sedalia.

🥳Today we loaded up and headed to Overland Park, not for a rabbit show, but a rabbit birthday party. Chuck the Buck, Gizmo and Lola were a hit and made a very special birthday girls dream of a rabbit birthday party come true!
Happy Birthday Callie Mae! We’re glad we got to be part of your special birthday.

The Fun Friday Fair show was this morning at the Missouri State Fair. Chase had an amazing show winning open rex Best of Breed with BH Sassy and open mini rex Best of Breed, Best 4 Class and Best in Show with BH Right on Time. BH Sassy got a shout out as second choice behind BH Right on Time during Best 4 Class judging.
It’s a hot one today and the rabbits are over it! Due to a heat advisory, the rabbits are being released a day early (tomorrow evening), so if you want to come visit the Bun Hub bunnies, they will not be there Sunday.

The Missouri State Fair days 1 & 2 have been amazing!
Day 1
Chase’s offically in open and had a good start to his season by winning mini rex Best of Breed with BH Baby Jane and rex Best Opposite Breed with BH Sassy.
Day 2
The FFA show was amazing with Chase winning mini rex Best of Breed, Best 4 Class and Best in Show with BH Right on Time. BH Astroid won Best Opposite Breed. Chase also won rex Best of Breed with BH Sassy, who got a shout as one of the top picks in best 4 class.
Chase also raised an FFA meat pen this year for the first time. He got 9th out of 33. A lot of kids purchase their meat pens (including the winning pen), 9th was pretty amazing considering his New Zealand only had 5 to choose from to put It together.
Tomorrow will be the last show of the fair. It’s hot. We are already exhausted and the rabbits are definitely over it, but we always enjoy seeing our rabbit friends.
