Prissy and her mini me!
Prissy’s a special girl in the rabbitry. She’s the first rabbit (and only other than her kits) to have all 3 beginning trio rabbits in her pedigree.

This adorable blue otter just started escaping the box and invading the food dish. I love this age! It’s out of Bun Hub Molly and Baptist Ridge Elsworth.

What rabbit made you fall in love with the hobby?
🧡For Chase, I’m 100% certain it was BR Dave, the otter buck from his beginning trio. Those 2 were quite a pair. You can tell how much they adored each other in the photo. Dave went on to sire many amazing rabbits and is BH Luxes grandpa.
🖤For Grandpa Rabbit, he fought hard to keep BH Runt, a chocolate otter with amazing fur and color, but not the best body, from getting culled. He was always fond of her and she ended up being the mom of another one of his favorites, our herd buck BH Otis.
🧡For me (Grandma Rabbit), my girl Lady Gaga (MR Limited Sweetness) is my first favorite rabbit. She’s currently the oldest rabbit in the Rabbitry and lovingly my “pet” and retired from having litters. She’s the mom of Bun Hubs first homegrown BOB (BH Bagnell), BIS (BH Fancy) and grandma to the 2024 ARBA breed and Group 1 winner, BH Lux. I think she deserves her retirement cage!

This morning Chase judged Benton County’s 4-H and FFA show. It’s always fun seeing him on the other side of the table encouraging the future of the hobby.

What do you think is your herd changing rabbit?
We’ve been discussing this and here’s our picks-
Grandma Rabbit- BH Carrie Ann. She had an amazing litter that changed the quality of rabbits we produced. 3 of her offspring are currently brood stock and all have produced breed/BIS winning animals. Her buck BH Ralph was Chases first national winner (BOSB mini rex Nationals 2024), BH Ruby won the day after show and multiple BOB/BIS and is an amazing mom who has repeatedly produced winning offspring, and BH Randall didn’t show but has produced multiple BOB rabbits also.
Chase- BH Ruby or BH Boughton. BH Ruby has repeatedly produced winning offspring. BH Boughton is the mom of BH Lux (ARBA breed winner 2024) and has produced several amazing animals. She had 2 top 10 senior black does at the 2024 ARBA convention.
Grandpa Rabbit- The litter of BH Ruby, BH Ralph and BH Randall. They have all went on to produce high quality litters.

It’s hard to forget your first homegrown Best of Breed rabbit!
BH Bagnell was a sweet little doe out of the second litter born in the rabbitry. She got her BOB in November 2022.
Did she meet the standards of today’s rabbits? No, but at that time she was amazing and Chase was super proud.
