Quiet people make spooky horses, and spooky people make quiet horses.

We are humans! We are weird! And if we keep tiptoeing around our horses, or being as quiet as possible on and off their backs...then they aren't getting the full experience of us. Have a dance party with your horse next time you see them! Randomly scream into the wind. Make weird sudden noises on their back, sing karaoke on the trail, play some charades while tacking up...whatever it is, do it. It's good for horses to get used to humans doing strange things, so do them! Step outside your own comfort zone and get extreme. We work hard to desensitize them to plastic bags and other objects...but don't forget to desensitize them to the most unpredictable of things...us 💕

Today was Thelma’s first walk around the ranch. And she did so great. Crossed the creek no biggie. Thelma is available for adoption. She is 10 years old about 14.5ish hands. Very sweet girl. @ American Legend Mustang

Well I finally sat on Obsidian. We didn’t do anything too crazy. Just kinda stood there. Got off and got back on a couple times. slowly but surely we are getting there

Some more fun with Isabella and the saddle. She is so calm while putting it on and cinching it up but man once she takes that first step she kinda loses it. But not as bad as last night so we are making improvements

These two ladies are up for adoption or a sponsorship. The first horse is Ms. Holly, Holly is an older girl in her 20s. She is very kind and gentle. She is rideable but would also make a great companion. The second girl is Louise she is a Devils Garden Mustang. She is about 10-12 years old. Still in the gentling stage. So my camera on my phone isn’t working right now so the only pictures y’all will be seeing until I get it fixed are very zoomed in unfocused photos. And no videos. But this evening was another fun adventure with Epic. We crossed a big two part creek. And he did awesome. He’s still not too sure where to step but he will get better

So this evening was the first time I rode Epic by himself through the trails. And he did amazing. We even encounter two coyotes that decided to follow us a little bit. And Epic stayed calm the whole time. I was slightly panicking on the inside. But overall. It was a good ride.

Well I finally bought myself a truck. It’s not the prettiest but it runs great and that’s what I needed. Now to just get a horse trailer and I will be set.
