Lest we forget
Approximately 500,000 cats served on both sides of the trenches on the western front. During The Great War (WWI), these felines had many essential roles from rodent control, regimental mascot and much needed moral boosters. They even laid the heaviest sacrifice of all on the altar of freedom as the only means of early warning for colorless and odorless gas attacks.
Cats have served side by side with humans from the dawn of civilization. Give your fuzz ball an extra scratch today in memory of those who came before.
