In my almost 73 years I have had quite a few: Two German Shepherds, a Boxer, a Kerry Blue Terrier, two Great Danes, a Schnauzer, a Beagle, a Rottweiler, and a sweet Boston Terrier who lived 16 1/2 years. At one time we took in 3 homeless dogs, a Labrador, an Irish Setter, and a little Poodle who all desperately needed a home. Muffy, the poodle, was pregnant with 5 puppies. We had a very busy hous

ehold during those months. Our 6 children loved them and took such good care of them. They were all special and so sweet. And now, living with my daughter, we have a 6 month old puppy which is a pit bull mix, and a little, white Mishu which is the little princess of the household. So if you love dogs as our family does, stop by often. Be blessed, Lynn

We just love dogs!🥰🐶

"Yesterday I adopted the oldest, sickest, and sorest shelter dog. I'll never forget his eyes. When I went into the cage he didn't even bother to look, he knew I wouldn't even see him.
Curling around the corner He'd accepted his fate. The volunteer said to me many times... Are you sure this one? Are you sure? YES! This is my dog. He opened the cage and 3 animals fell on me. I ran towards him, suddenly he looked at me as if he saw an angel... I hugged him and told him that now he'll be happy again. Then he sleeps in my lap... probably the first peaceful sleep he ever had.
Give it a life. Give it a hug. They need us."

We had an adorable rottweiler, Mandy. She was sweet, loving, and great with our children. She went to doggy heaven at age 10, and we miss her terribly.🥰

A beautiful family photo ❤️🐾

Careful of the plants brought into your home. They can be deadly to our sweet pets.

All it takes is one time. Your curious pet chews on any part of a Sago Palm. They are highly toxic. Get rid of them from your yard/home if you have pets.

Hi Everyone, Hope you and your fur baby have had a perfect day. Following is the post that went along with the image below. Thought it was important information. Love & blessings!🥰🐶

Help keep your babies safe, and help others know about the dangers of Foxtail grass.

Foxtail grass is found up and down the West Coast of the U.S. but has also spread across the country populating ALL but a few states. Foxtail grass is also found throughout most of Canada and it has equally lethal counterparts across the globe and goes by other names like, Spear Grass, Wall Barley, and Mouse Barley.

Foxtails are grasses with lethal seed awns (the foxtail- shaped tip of the grass blade containing seeds). Foxtails have barbed, razor-sharp needles that are extremely dangerous to our fur kids. Nature designed them to move in one direction—forward! They dig in and they do not dissolve or come out on their own.

Foxtails easily attach themselves to adventurous fur kids and can burrow deeper and deeper with every movement. Foxtails love paws and can easily become embedded (and hidden) between tender toes. They can work their way into ANY part of the body. Foxtail fragments can easily go up the nose and migrate to the brain. Inhaled foxtails can perforate a lung.

Foxtails that go unnoticed can require surgery to be removed. Embedded foxtails can cause infection, abscesses, swelling, pain, and death.

SAFETY TIPS: Stay out of areas with foxtails and make sure your yard doesn’t contain them. If your pet has mingled with foxtails, make sure to do a thorough inspection afterward because they burrow quickly and are hard to see sometimes: Brush coat, feel every part of the body with hands, and look closely at ears, nose, eyes, underbelly, between toe pads, and underneath collars. Also check inside mouth, around lips, and private parts! Pets can chew on foxtail grasses and get them lodged in gums and throat. They will not dissolve or work their way out!

Most fur kids who have access to the outdoors, from dogs to horses, can be harmed by foxtails, but animals with long fur, long ears, and curly fur can be especially prone to foxtail problems.

Stay safe,
xoAmy

Hello Everyone, Hope you are well and happy.
I had to share some puppy pics. This beautiful Pyrenees/Anatolian had 11 puppies shown below on the day they were born. If you have never come across dogs such as these, they are amazing.
Anyone with chickens, guinea hens, sheep, or goats, and are looking for a working dog, these are just perfect. The family has many of the above mentioned animals, and their male and female P & A dogs stand guard over the animals on the farm and are very good at keeping wild predators away. They are wonderful with children, too. The second picture is mama with 4 of her pups, and then the 3 which are yet to be rehomed. 🙂
Be blessed, and love to all and your precious pets!🐶🥰
P.S. If you have a need for a beautiful worker dog or just a great family pet, these adorable pups are located in Arkansas, US. Leave a comment if you wish more information.🐾

My Story-Dog Lovers Everywhere

I love dogs. In my 69 years I have had quite a few: Two German Shepherds, a Boxer, a Kerry Blue Terrier, two Great Danes, a Schnauzer, a Beagle, a Cockapoo, a Rottweiler, and a sweet Boston Terrier who was with us for 16 1/2 years and was my closest buddy. All of our dogs over the years were rescued angels.

Our little, Boston terrier, Max ,we found on the side of a dead-end country road in the snow on a fateful day right after Christmas. My daughter had just had a baby. I was helping her that day, and we heard a car on the road that paused, turned around, but it didn’t stop, it just sped off. We didn’t see anyone or anything when we looked outside.

That night, as we were leaving my daughter’s home, we heard a tiny whining noise. And, there across the road was a teeny puppy. Max was only about 4 weeks old, the best we could tell. He was white with just a little black on him so he just blended into the snow. After being in the snow for several hours, he was shivering so bad. We bundled him up and took him home. Our amazing 6 year old rottweiler, another stray that we rescued as a puppy who needed mending and care as a little one since someone, as it looked, had beaten her, was a bit dubious at first of this small bundle. However, she soon took charge of him and was a very good mother to Max.

Mandy passed at about 9 years. She was so smart, very gentle and sweet, and very good with our children. There were a lot of teary eyes in our home that day and many days afterward. Max was an awesome, gentle, sweet little dog who gently filled in the void that Mandy left.
