The Labrador Retriever is a British breed of retriever gundog. They were developed in the United Kingdom from St. John's water dogs imported from Newfoundland (now a province of Canada) and was named after Labrador region. They are friendly, energetic, and playful. They were bred as a sporting and hunting dog but are widely kept as a companion dog. They may also be trained as a guide or assistance dog, or for rescue or therapy work.

They are currently ranked as the number 2 most popular dog in the world and is it any wonder? We love these happy fun loving dogs.

My beautiful girls placing bets this morning ‘Do you think Mum will burn her toast this morning? We love burnt toast!’ Zuc the German Shepherd ‘who cares, so long as I get my morning scratch.’ Well they were in luck, I did burn my first round of toast 🤦‍♀️.

These three are the only ones delighted on the farm with the amount of rain we have had so far… severe storm warning for tonight and tomorrow too. P.S. this is usually a dry paddock.

Firstly I do not recommend giving stonefruit to dogs, however when on a commercial stonefruit farm I have given up trying to stop them and monitor them really carefully for any ill effects and I am prepared to get them to a vet for treatment if needed. They could get splintering or blockages and I would really prefer that they didn’t eat stonefruit. However this is what our dogs do at every opportunity when the varieties close to home are almost ripe…

Congratulations LoyalComrade Tiramasu aka Tira for graduating from Puppy School. Well done to her human Mum, Sarah Greenslade for all the hard work. Socialisation so so vital for pups and clearly Sarah has Tira off to a wonderful start. 🌟

What a busy few months it has been! Today the last of our pups left for their new homes. I was very lucky to have found beautiful homes for each of these gorgeous babies. I hope they give and receive years of love, companionship and joy with their families. Now for a big break for my wonderful girls and myself! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone (and the list is long) who has supported us in some way from sharing posts to my amazing vets, stud dog owners and mentors!

Just a few pics of Betty’s first few days at home .
Yes you were right she is very ‘busy’ she very much suits her name , though she is also very well behaved , sleeps equally well in her crate or her day bed . Her favourite outside toy is the kids mini trampoline.

She is beautiful 🤩 this morning she went to the back door and cried so we opened it and she went straight out and pooped, so she’s also very smart and easily trained .”

I think you will agree she is a beautiful looking girl and clearly her new parents are doing an amazing job with her! 💕

“1 week ago our lives changed!
Douggie has been a dream (although I wonder where my old life went 🤣)
Toilet training is amazing only 2 wees I side in a week, no poos.
Crate training went quite s**t at the start but now we have nailed that too. Sleeps from 10.30ish - 2-3 has a wee and poo, back to bed until 7.30am!
Has learnt to use the dog door already, but hasn’t associated to use it for a wee.
Loves, in fact adores being outside, that I actually leave him out there…he lays flat out with all legs splayed out watching the world go by.
Leave it is also going well, has had a couple of taps on the nose for chasing the chickens, but on a whole just watches them.

So I thank you from the bottom of my heart for a magnificent boy….he is a credit to you 😘😘”

I am so proud to produce such a wonderful pup and am delighted how well he has fitted in with their family! This is the outstanding outcome of ensuring I have beautiful girls, searching for their perfect match and doing lots of health testing. 💗

Our LoyalComrade Cannoli X Aus Champ Morndew Tom Sawyer litter is growing quickly. They will be 4 weeks old on Wednesday! Today was a day of firsts for the, first meal and first time outside, they enjoyed both. Expressions of interest are welcome, we have 5 girls and 2 boys currently available.

Our beautiful pups are enjoying the picture perfect day outside today! The birds are chirping, pups are sleeping 😴, today is our yellow litters first day outside. Black litter turns 6 weeks old on Tuesday and yellow litter turns 4 weeks old on Wednesday. Expressions of interest are welcomed.
