🌟 Happy Pawlidays! We couldn’t be more excited to share this gift with you all today - meet Leelu, Old Soul’s newest foster 🌟

🥰 Leelu has been with Old Soul since mid-November and has been acclimating to the good life in rescue. She is a huge chunk of dog with some pounds to lose and is an enormous cuddle bug!

🐶 She has really enjoyed settling in with her loving Foster Friends and is working through some minor medical issues with the support of our veterinary partners and our community’s generous financial contributions.

Grab the tissues because this is a tough one.

Thelma came to us as a bonded pair with her sister, Louise. They were inseparable, doing everything together and sharing an unconditional love for each other. But in November, Louise had a seizure and passed away. Thelma didn't fully understand what happened, and though our vet clinic did everything they could to comfort her, it was clear that her world had changed forever. Our vet staff asked to have their picture taken with Thelma, hoping it would help her find a new home.

This transition has been incredibly tough on Thelma. She's faced so much loss this year, both her sister and her home. But through it all, her foster mom, Kristi, has been there by her side, helping her find the strength to move forward. Now, Thelma is ready to find a family that will give her the love and security she so deeply deserves.

Thelma is 9 years old, gets along well with other dogs and cats, and has even lived with children. Although she's spent much of her life as an outdoor dog, she's perfectly comfortable coming inside when the weather turns chilly and is fully house-trained. She's incredibly sweet and would bring so much love and joy into the life of the right family.

After everything she's been through this year—losing her sister, her home, and her sense of normalcy—Thelma has shown remarkable strength and resilience. She deserves to experience the love and warmth of a family this holiday season.
