🌟 Adoption Update: Riley Sunshine! 🌟

We are thrilled to share a wonderful update from Riley Sunshine's forever family! 🌞 Riley now known as Kobe, one of the pups from our Sunshine Litter, was adopted in June, and his new family couldn’t be happier. They recently shared:

"I just want you to know I adopted Riley Sunshine in June! This puppy has brought more laughs and joy to my family with his kind, loving personality! We are madly in love with him and enjoy the sound of his hooves on our hardwood floors. He grows a noticeable amount every single night! He’s going to be so big! Thank you for everything you do for all the animals that you rescued. He’s my second one from you guys and SOS. You are a treasure to the animals!" ❤️

Kobe’s journey started when his mom (Lovey) was abandoned, left on a porch pregnant after her family moved away. Thankfully, we were able to bring her into rescue just in time. After being groomed and cared for, she gave birth to the Sunshine Litter the very next day!

Kobe isn’t the only rescue pup in this loving home—he joins Converse, who was adopted from the Sneaker Litter and is now 1 1/2 years old and known as Grady! Kobe and Grady's mom, shared:

"This is Converse/Grady from the Sneaker litter! He is another wonderful dog! We are very connected! I admire his intuition and trust his judgment very much! He has my whole heart! They all do!"

Lovey is still in foster care, bravely undergoing heartworm treatment. Once she's completed her treatment, she'll get her opportunity to travel north and find her own forever home. We’re all rooting for her!

Hearing updates like this fills our hearts with joy. We are so grateful to Kobe and Grady’s family for providing them with a loving home and for their continued support of our rescue efforts. Thank you for being a treasure to the animals! 🐾

Foster homes needed for small breed puppies. Have you ever wanted to save puppies, but you knew you couldn't afford all the vetting? Well now is your chance! We pay for all vetting! You just give them the love, socialization, and protection; we take care of the rest.

These 7 small pups deserve to go to Rhode Island to live amazing lives, but we need two more families to step up and help foster them. We currently have a foster who will take two, so 5 more to go. Will you help?

MISSING DOGS: We need your help! These three dogs are missing in the Magness/Newark, Arkansas area. Lily and Louie are the black and white ones, Mama is the black and tan one that has the puggish face. They went missing around Padgett Island Rd. located in the Bottoms of Magness. Lily and Louie will have microchips and Wiley's Road Home tags. Mama does not. Better pictures in the comments. Please keep an eye out!

🚐🐾 Exciting Transport News! 🐾🚐

This morning, 25 adorable pups embarked on a journey to Rhode Island for the huge Always Adopt event happening this Saturday! Some lucky pups have already found their forever homes and will be welcomed straight into the arms of their loving adopters right off the transport.

Both litters of pups have infamous moms that many of you might remember! Lovey, the Great Pyrenees mix, was left on a porch pregnant when her owners moved away. Rosalie was the mom who had her babies under an elderly couple's house. Thanks to our wonderful volunteers, these moms were able to raise their babies in loving homes.

Additionally, the last of the poor dumped doodles are also on this transport, ready to find their forever families.

Check out all the fun photos of the pups, along with our amazing fosters and volunteers who helped get them ready for their big trip. A huge thank you to our dedicated fosters—it's their love and care that make these opportunities for secure, forever homes on the east coast possible.

We are thrilled to announce that our Fixed & Fabulous program made an impact on Friday for a family by "fixing" 6 of their dogs! These pups belong to a family who couldn't afford the procedures, and as a result, they kept having puppies.

Yesterday morning, three dedicated volunteers from Wiley's Road Home gathered early to pick up the dogs and take them to Thousand Hills Vet. However, these ladies weren't able to bring the dogs back after their procedures.

Thankfully, our friends at Humane Society of Independence County stepped in to help! Another wonderful volunteer picked up the HSIC van, collected the six dogs, and safely returned them to their anxious and grateful owners. ❤️

Today's effort is a testament to the power of community and collaboration in animal rescue. It truly takes a village, and today, two organizations came together to ensure there will be fewer litters in our area.

We are immensely proud of the teamwork and dedication shown by everyone involved. A huge thank you to our volunteers and HSIC for making a difference in these dogs' lives and supporting responsible pet ownership in our community.

Together, we are making the world a better place for our furry friends! 🐾❤️

We are thrilled to share that one of the infamous dumped doodles (Scarlett) and 8 puppies (Eclipe Litter) that were born to a stray under a barn in Pleasant Plains are now on their way to our partner Save One Soul Animal Rescue League, in Rhode Island. Thanks to the incredible efforts of our fosters and volunteers, these dogs are getting the opportunity for new lives and loving homes.

Don’t forget we are urgently searching for a foster for a Mom (25lbs) and her six 4-week-old puppies. The are in an at-risk situation and need a foster home. As always we will provide all necessary supplies, including food, bedding and medical care to support you in caring for them. Their lives depend on someone stepping up! Please give them the same opportunity as these pups today!! (Photos at end)

Urgent: Temporary Foster Homes Needed for 8 Adorable Puppies!

We are urgently seeking foster homes for 8 small, adorable puppies who will be going to our partner rescue on transport on June 13. This is a short-term fostering opportunity – just a few weeks! If you've ever wanted to experience the joy of fostering puppies, now is the perfect time.
With kids out of school, this can be a fun and rewarding family project. These little ones are on the smaller side and need your love and care until they are ready for their journey. They are already spayed/neutered and UTD on vetting.

The unfortunate truth of running a dog rescue .
Running a dog rescue is really hard.
What they don’t tell you is that it can cause severe stress and anxiety, and drains you mentally to the point of depression in even the most laid-back people.
People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore.
Friends and family will expect favor’s and people will value you and your hard work less than a big chain store.
You have to worry about if you forget to email/message someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages and emails.
Starting up and running a successful dog rescue puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships, many of which fail because there is just often no work life balance. All whilst being a parent, a husband or a wife, family support, friend...
There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in dog rescue after 5-10 years. If they are successful they are overwhelmed. It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially the past couple of years when so much has been out of our control.
Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with hectic lives. Be kind, be patient, support small dog rescues …….and hopefully more of us will stick around!

This morning, 11 dogs and puppies set off from Arkansas on their journey to Rhode Island, where they'll be welcomed by our partner rescue, One Soul Animal Rescue League. Among them are pups who were abandoned or rescued, and others who were owner surrenders, with owners who wanted nothing but the best for their beloved pets., All of them are now on their way to loving forever homes.

We're especially excited to share that one of the five doodles we
took in about two months ago is part of this group heading up north.

None of this would be possible without our amazing fosters and donors who help us vet and prepare these pups for transport. And, of course, a huge thank you to the incredible people who adopt these wonderful dogs.

Let's give a round of "paws" to everyone involved in making this happen!

Currently, we have 5 heartworm positive dogs and over 60 dogs in foster care. It's a labor of love, but it also requires funds and coordination.

Incredible Rescue Story!
On April 10th, our hearts were touched by a beautiful tale of compassion and rescue. A foster volunteer, leaving her office, encountered a stray dog, visibly emaciated yet wearing the proud badge of a nurturing mother. Following her instincts, the volunteer trailed the canine heroine to a nearby house, where an elderly couple resided. As fate would have it, there lay a precious litter of pups, snug under the home, where Mom had a made them safe nest.
With swift determination, plans unfolded to extend a helping hand. The following morning, we received the green light to welcome this courageous family into the folds of Wiley's Road Home rescue. With the selfless dedication of our volunteers, the rescue mission unfolded seamlessly. Investigations revealed that the homeowners had no knowledge of the little mom's existence, further solidifying the need for our intervention.
Introducing the New Moon Litter, alongside their resilient mom, Rosalie. Under the loving care of their rescuer, these precious pups will thrive until they're ready for their next chapter. Once old enough and vetted for transport, they'll journey to the east coast, where Save One Soul, our esteemed partner rescue, eagerly awaits to match them with their forever homes.

URGENT!!!! Missing Dog from Macedonia Road in Newark, AR and could be headed to the gravel side of Shug Road that runs behind our foster's property. She answers to Olive and could be nervous, so please call immediately if you see her.

She was wearing a red collar, but had just had a bath so she does not have her Wiley's Tag on. She is microchipped.

Transport Friday! Today marks the beginning of a new chapter for 10 amazing pups as they embark on their journey to SOS in Rhode Island. Each one comes with a unique story—some born from accident litters, others left behind due to the passing of their owners, a few found as strays, and some from rehomed situations. Today, 16 is our lucky number! That's how many precious pups embarked on their journey to new beginnings this morning. A huge shoutout to all the incredible fosters who made this possible! Some of these adorable fur babies have already found their forever homes, while the rest will be looking for love at Save One Soul adoption event this Saturday.

We wanted to update everyone on the dumped Doodles. These 5 ladies are now safe in rescue with Wiley's, and in loving foster homes. They are each in the process of getting groomed and vetted so they can make their way to Rhode Island.

Today, 8 adorable pups are embarking on a journey to find their forever homes! Two of these sweet fur babies (Relish & Mayo) are from the Condiment Litter, rescued after being abandoned in Southside. (Last photo is the foster request from February, oh my how they have grown) Huge thanks to our incredible fosters who gave them the love and care they deserve.
