One of our most beloved Therapy dogs passed away unexpectedly recently. Her family is beyond devastated as are all of the people that she visited. Angie and Penny were an amazing team. The rescue organization where Angie adopted Penny wrote this beautiful tribute.

In the fall of 2021, Angie Koeneker drove 1100 miles from New Jersey to make this precious little dog a part of her family. Angie just knew it was meant to be. She knew in her heart that Penny was destined for greatness. Together, Penny and Angie became a team that was unstoppable, touching lives wherever they went.

Little did I know when we rescued Penny and her puppies from a property in Tate County that she would go on to be a dog with such a noble purpose in life.

Penny was blessed with the gift of comfort. She was blessed with the gift of bringing calm. She was blessed with the gift of unconditional love. She was blessed with the gift of healing. She became a Therapy and Emotional Support Dog that changed the lives of countless people in her community and beyond.

Together with her mom, Penny attended funerals, schools, churches, emotional support groups, anywhere she was needed to bring comfort and healing to hurting hearts. She excelled at it. She was a force for good and her presence in her community will be sorely missed.

Penny suffered an unexpected seizure last night. With all their heroic efforts to save her, the seizures would not stop. Tragically, Penny crossed the Rainbow Bridge surrounded by her family. But not without one last kiss for her mom.

Penny's precious family is hurting so badly today. They were totally blindsided by this tragedy. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Penny Was a Dog with a Purpose. God's Good and Faithful Servant. She will be remembered always for the light she brought to our troubled world.

Just a little homeless mama dog, pulled from under a trailer in rural Mississippi that turned out to be an Angel on Earth.

Slo mo video of Billie and Onyx. This is a good example of appropriate play. They are well suited for each other..and this was Onyx's first playdate at 4mos. He was a little scared at first and then he came out of his shell. We went for a walk first, introducing them on leash prior to off leash play.
