LowCountry Animal Rescue We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer run rescue organization for animals in the Charleston area of South Carolina. All our dogs are fostered.

We hold adopt-a-thons every Saturday to allow our animals every opportunity to be adopted.

Nick & Noelle want to let you know they will be at the home show at the fairgounds today from 10am-7pm. Come on down and play with them and the other dogs and cats. Be sure to show the picture of a ticket to get in for free.

Jill Long said "Thank you for the best Christmas gift we ever got" She was talking about Neecee now known lovingly as Norma. They wanted to send some things for the animals still in foster waiting for their new forever homes and fir the foster parents like Deborah who opened up her home and heart to Neecee until she was adopted.

We can't thank them enough for the items or for giving Neecee rge forever home she waited for fir so long. Neecee aka Norma says it was worth every day of the wait!!

As 2024 has ended and 2025 has begun many of us take a moment to remember the lives we have saved and those we have lost. Rescue can be difficult but it can also be uplifting. One of those uplifting moments was Christmas morning when I received a message from Simon wishing me a Merry Christmas from him and Stephen. I wanted to share this video since many of you got to meet and love Stephen during his time in the rescue. For those of you who never met him he is a special boy with a true zest for life.

So as we start 2025 I want to wish you all health and happiness and hope you live each day like Stephen. Enjoy the simple things in life like a stroll on the beach and time spent with friends and family.

We thank you for your support and look forward to saving more lives in 2025!

While we post our Amazon wishlist it does not mean you need to buy the items there. Irene and Ribert Campbell took the list of suggested items and went shopping locally. They then stopped by to drop of the items and tell us again how wonderful Samantha is and how grateful they are to have her in their lives. Well, we qre the grateful ones not just for the donations but for them opening their home to the live of a senior dog in need!

There was actually more items but since they dropped it off in person we sent supplies home with some of the foster parents that day.

While the better belly are great for dogs as longterm rewards the trail mix works for instinct gratification and training. Many different items are used for different aspects of rescue. And we can not thank vllofton enough for the items donated.

you might wonder why we asked for the Scrubbing Bubbles. Well, sometimes these guys leave a greasy little residue on their crates and this product works great at cutting through that and getting their crates squeaky clean. Nancy Rivera saw our request for the Scrubbing Bubbles and sent that as well as other items on our wishlist. Thank you Nancy for helping us keep it nice for the babies in our care!

Good morning from Drake. He was out and about this morning and found a stick. Unfortunately, he dropped it and MuShi stole it. 😄 He is at the home show with us today until 7pm. Stop by and play with him. Information on home show is in our events tab. Note - MuShi, the pyrenees, is not for adoption.

DOUBLE YOUR GIFT...... An anonymous donor will match dollar for dollar all donations made to help with the medical care of Violet. Violet was born the runt of the litter. She is a female malamute born on December 15, 2023. As you can see in the video, she has difficulty using her rear legs. She has been seen by a general practice veterinarian and her x-rays have been examined by an orthopedic surgeon. The orthopedist could not find any defect and believes that an assessment by a neurologist would be the next step. Violet has a challenging road ahead, but we are hoping that with your help, we can provide all the medical care she needs to get well.
