We spent this past weekend at the All American Dog Show • the 2023 International Kennel Club of Chicago. Our young girl “Brie” won Best of Winners and Best of Breed from the Bred By class every day Friday through Sunday for more points towards her American Championship! Good girl, Brie! 💖

We also spent some time at the Meet the Breeds booth with some other breeders where we got to share our knowledge about this wonderful breed with the public. It was a great weekend!

What better weekend to learn about the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever than Canada Day weekend? They are an indigenous breed of Canada. 🇨🇦

We are so grateful that we had to opportunity to sit down with Ian Lynch from the Canadian Kennel Club to talk about the breed, our dogs and our breeding program. We take utmost pride in training and competing with our Tollers in multiple different venues. I thank my co-breeders and co-owners who have been apart of the process for helping me get to where we are today.

Mariah Lara from M Studio Productions did an absolutely incredible job behind the camera putting all of the pieces together so seamlessly.

On multiple occasions now our photos, along with other reputable breeders’ photos, have been stolen and used online to scam buyers. People have been scammed thousands of dollars using our content.

Please note that reputable breeders will NEVER sell their puppies on Facebook like this. EVER. If you see an ad like this, please report it to Facebook as a scam or stealing content.

We’re on the road nice and early this morning to head out to another television commercial shoot with our resident dog, Carson. This is his second shoot this month, and it’s going to be extra FUN! 😁

We had a birthday yesterday! 🎈

11 years of some pretty incredible memories with this incredible dog. Happy Birthday today to CARSON! 🤍🤍🤍🤍

He had a pretty remarkable 10th year. He won Best of Breed in an entry of 37 Tollers in one of his only shows all year, passed his WCI test and finished his CD title, starred in another tv commercial, and was a recipient for the National Club’s Dobirstein Award. Besides all of his awards on paper, he is the most reliable dog with the most bombproof temperament, who sleeps beside my bed every single night. It is an absolute pleasure to live with him, train him, hunt over him, and to have him represent the Toller breed on so many different levels. I suspect this year will be just as memorable, and we start it off with another commercial filming this week, and Jack handling him in the ring next weekend. He truly does just keep getting better with age, although time can slow down anytime now.

Hi followers! It’s been awhile. 👋

Our website is currently being updated and will be live again this weekend, with exciting news!

We will be accepting a very limited amount of puppy applications for our hopeful two Fall 2023 litters starting this weekend. Please contact us if you would like to fill out an application, and we will also be sorting through and reaching out to recent emails.

We have only produced 13 puppies in the last two years, and we get inquiries every single day of people looking to purchase one. Because of this, it is difficult for us to both keep up with emails when we don’t have any breeding plans and to also provide puppies to every single person who reaches out to us. We only start accepting applications once we have breeding plans confirmed, and we don’t offer our puppies on a first come, first serve basis as we want to find homes that best suit the needs of our dogs.

We prefer active working homes or competition homes for our puppies, but the most important factor is that owners are going to make the time to bring out the best in these Toller puppies over the course of their lifetime.

Our puppies are raised in our home, are raised following Puppy Culture protocols, and are temperament tested and conformation evaluated before going to their new homes. Dams and sires are fully health tested to the National Club’s standards, and are titled in both the conformation ring and performance rings. All of our puppies are registered with the Canadian Kennel Club, and are able to be registered with the American Kennel Club if you are an American citizen.

We spent the last 5 days in beautiful Long Sault, Ontario at the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club of Canada’s 2022 National Specialty show!

There was a total of 85 entires of beautiful Tollers from all over Canada and the United States.

Our Sugar won “Best Brood Bitch” with her kids, Timmy and Brie. Judge Stewart Dankner commented on how undeniable consistent these dogs are and how they scream Toller type. We were so pleased with this award!

Sugar and Brie also won “Best Brace”!

Timmy won his sweeps class, Brie was 2nd in hers, and they were both 3rd in their Bred By Classes.

Carson had a huge competitive Best of Breed win at the Limited Retriever Breed show under judge David Miller in an entry of 36 Tollers.

Sugar is bred by Sue Lyle and is owned by myself, Dave Hodgins, Kristin Lawless All Breed Handling, LLC and Cole Vanover.
Timmy and Brie are co bred and owned also by the 4 of us.

We had a great three days at the Ann Arbour Kennel Club shows in conjunction with the Backyard Classic Toller Specialty shows and Sporting Specialty show!

Yesterday at the Sarnia Kennel Club our “Brie” (Sugar x Rhaegar) won Best Bred By Exhibitor in the Sporting Group! A huge thank you to judge Dr. Gail Forsythe for our first win of this kind. 🤍

We’re getting ready to hit the road again later this week to head to Michigan for a weekend full of Toller Specialties, all breed shows, and Fast Cat runs with our American friends!

Sorry everyone, we’ve been super absent from this page for the last little bit. All of our dogs and ourselves are well, it’s just a really busy time of year for us between work, a busy human baby, the dogs, and going to trials and dog shows. We have no litters planned for the rest of 2022, but are hoping for puppies at some point in 2023. We will open up applications and emails this Fall and will post here when we are doing so. 🧡

This past weekend we headed down to Louisville KY for the big Kentuckiana cluster dog show. We were with our co breeder of our Sugar litter, Kristin Lawless from Foxbrooke Tollers. She’s keeping “Nestle” from the litter so we’ll watch for him in the US show rings in the future. I was also reunited with “Big Blue” (Noti) this weekend and he still puts a big smile on my face!

The Avro x Solo babies have all gone off to their new homes! ✈️

Piper, now known as Flash, will be living his best life on the east coast in Halifax and will likely get his Dad into some dog sport fun. His cottage is close to ours so we can enjoy the lake together in the future. Follow him on Instagram at !

Pratt, now known as Tuzo, will be living his best life with his family and boys local to us. He’ll get thousands of kms under his belt hiking trails throughout his lifetime and will dabble in some dog sports and trick fun. Follow him on Instagram at !

Big Blue, now known Hpnotiq, will be living his best life down in Kentucky and will get to spend his days with his other canine siblings (another Toller, a Border Collie x and a Corgi) and enjoying agility and dock diving.

Boeing, now known as Pratt, will be staying here for the foreseeable future.
