Yesterday marked 3 years my beautiful momma, Jill left this world. If you had the chance to meet her you know her heart was full of love for both animals and people. She started raising Yorkies, Maltese and Poms in the early 90’s. She built up her reputation and line through those years. About 9 years ago she decided she also wanted to raise Rough Collies. So she did. She raised and cared for her babies until she no longer could. My sister and I are so blessed to have had a momma to show us how to love both people and dogs. We both carry our Momma in our hearts along with our love and passion for animals.

JUNE

June works herself hard until she’s exhausted. She’s loyal and always ready to lend a paw. Her heart is as big as her butt. She doesn’t believe in discrimination, she’s loves all humans and animals the same. Her only downfall is she likes to keep her nose in everyone’s business 😆

Many of you have saw post/pictures about Chip. He was puppy #14 out of June's second litter. Chip's mom constantly sends me update on Chip and stories. Chip has a little brother named Dobby who is paraplegic. Chip is his little brothers protector. Lisa sent me this story yesterday about another Chip tale.

Dobby has had a bout of diarrhea so when Jeff and I both had to leave the house today we put Dobby in a small entry way off the kitchen and blocked him in with a heavy gate. The gate isn't connected to the wall, it free stands and can be pushed out of the way but Dobby is way too small to do it. Plus it's up a step and my little paraplegic can't hop up that step.

We came home tonight and the gate had been moved and Dobby was laying with Chip in the living room. Chip went and got his buddy out of his "prison."

Its hard not to love a dog thats smart and caring Lisa said.

Update on June:
June is recovering well from surgery. She definitely is feeling better!!! Thank you all for all the thoughts and prayers.

Happy Happy 2nd Birthday to June’s 2nd litter!! She blessed us with a total of 14 pups, June raised 11 and I raised Scarlett Jane.

We are asking for prayers today as June will be having an emergency surgery today to get spayed. We visited urgent care yesterday because she’s been lazier than normal the past few days and not feeling good . She has Pyometra which is a serious and life threatening infection. She has this momma a nervous wreck!

Meet Devon! This guy came into Northeast Ohio Collie Rescue two days ago and went straight to the vet. He had a horrific leg wound. I made a special trip to check in on him today and was gifted with tons of kisses.

What a year this has been for the rescue. We are constantly getting Collies in. Because of this, I have been more focused on doing the rescue thing than breeding. Being able to take in these collies that were unwanted, mistreated or owner surrender and finding them the home they deserved from day one is such a wonderful and humbling feeling. When you say your prayers tonight pray Devon survives wearing a cone for a month!

Meet Chip here. He and his 11 siblings will be 2 years old September 17th! I am always getting stories and pictures of this beautiful boy 🥰 His momma Lisa Clair sent this today.

It’s been a sad week for us here, but a week of rejoice for my Momma as two of her dogs joined her in Heaven this week. I just learned that Keeper or Glasgowhill’s Th Guardian/Quill passed away due to a snakebite. Keeper was such a sweet boy. And then we lost Harper Sky. She was the first house dog mom had purchased in years. She loved her grand dog Jet so much she had to have her own Maltese. That sweet girl loved my momma so much. Run free and wild sweet pups.

PDC wants to send a huge Congratulations out to Storm and her momma Stephanie Harris! Storm completed everything required to be a service dog!

Storm is sister to Scarlett (and 10 others). She was out of June’s 2nd litter. She, along with all my other babies out there sure make me a proud momma. I love getting updates about them. I am so lucky they have wonderful families who love them as much as they first human momma does!!

Sweet Onyx came to Ohio to live with her daughter June and granddaughter Scarlett. Onyx was one of the first Rough Collies my Mother bought when she got into the Collie breed. Onyx continued living at her home after my mother passed away but she’s getting older. I thought it time she come live a pampered life again with her big sis. Having her around makes me feel like I still have a piece of my sweet momma with me. And I think she likes living in Ohio. 💙

We have a special announcement! June is a momma again! She’s the mother of 5 ducklings and 2 turkeys (or so she thinks) 😂

June truly is the most nurturing and loving dog I know. She is always trying to look after everyone. She doesn’t discriminate or judge. Us humans should try to live our lives with the heart of a dog. Maybe the world wouldn’t be such a scary place then.

Are you currently looking for a collie? If so, check out Northeast Ohio Collie Rescue. Not sure if things are crazy this year due to the economy, but NEOCR has taken in almost half as many collies as we did last year (not counting the Illinois dogs) and we are just in March!

As a breeder and President of NEOCR, my job is to find each collie the home that best meets his/her needs. And in return, I get to make families complete!

This here is Neve. Neve was found last week dumped in the snow in Strongsville, OH. She was in terrible condition. She was unable to use one of her hind legs and was severely underweight. Akron-Medina Veterinary Hospital & Pet Resort was able to fit Neve in on Thursday and get her evaluated. Her results showed her back leg had been broken and had never healed correctly and the leg had osteosarcoma and she was in renal failure. More d-rays showed that the cancer had also spread to her lungs. Neve should have weighed approximately 40ish pounds only weighed 22.6. After talking with the vet tech, we decided to give Neve the weekend to get all the snuggles and good food she wanted. Friday night we had a bad night. She had several seizures so first thing Saturday morning I rushed her to the emergency vet where she would leave my arms and go to doggie heaven. To the one responsible for dumping this sweet loving dog, shame on you. But because of your actions, Neve lived the last few days of her life cozy by the fire and was pampered until her last breath. She captured so many hearts and was loved by so many in her short stay with me.

Thank you to Akron-Medina Veterinary Hospital & Pet Resort for going above and beyond for Neve!

And thank you to Jamie & Jennifer who got Neve out of the cold and kept her cozy and comfortable until I got there that evening. You two are angels

And thank you to the Northeast Ohio Collie Rescue for being ready to jump in and help when our sweet collie breed is in need 💙

I can’t describe how lucky I am to know all my pups have went to wonderful families! I am thankful for you all and for all the updates I get!!
