Cross ties are installed and ready for use. Please clip them back to the tie rings when you are finished with them so my dad doesn’t accidentally mow over them 😬😳😁

It has been a very busy past 2 weeks at the barn.

The hitching post and patience pole are finished and ready to be used. The ropes are there to use the tie blocker rings. If you aren’t familiar with them, there is a brochure in the feed area about them if you would like to read it. They are really good for horses who don’t tie well as they allow rope to be pulled thru if the horse gets frightened.
New cross ties have been ordered and should be here in the next 2 weeks. The existing cross ties can be used but are showing some wear so they will be replaced as soon as the new ones arrive.
Please use one of the above mentioned areas to tie your horses.

Also feel free to test your horsemanship using the new obstacles-bridge, metal ‘bridge’, teeter totter, and water box in the riding area. There are also a variety of barrels, rails, pole bending poles, cones, risers, and small jumps for use up there too.

Since Dauphin county is moving to yellow phase tomorrow, you won’t need to post when you would like to come. Groups up to 25 are permitted so even if everyone comes out we won’t be over that amount of people. Please continue to practice social distancing while here. Hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to getting back to normal!

Hey all! Since we don't know when the stay at home orders will be lifted, I thought starting a page where y'all can post when you want to come instead of messaging me would be more efficient (so we are still practicing social distancing). I'll also periodically post farm news (if there are any projects that might hinder use of the facilities-like when we replaced the footing in the round pen and when the local farmer comes to get the manure piles). If you would like to come out to the farm, please post your ETA (estimated time of arrival) and when you plan to leave (ie, I will be coming out to the barn from 3pm to 5pm). My understanding is once the governor places Dauphin Co in the yellow 'phase', we wouldn't need to limit the number of boarders to one at a time (since there would be gatherings of up to 25 people permitted in this phase)
