Is It Time for Colby to Find His Forever Home?

Meet Colby, the big, lovable Rottweiler mix who’s ready to steal your heart! With his sweet and gentle nature, Colby is a fantastic companion for anyone who appreciates the love of a large dog. While he gets along well with other dogs, he’s not a fan of feline friends.

Colby is looking for a special family who can cater to his needs. Ideally, he’d thrive in a home without small children, as he’s a big boy who might accidentally knock them over in his excitement. A family with some big dog experience would be a perfect match!

This little girl is as sweet as the cookie she is named after. She is only 5 months old and is looking for a family to show her the best things in life. Playful and good with cats and dogs we just know she will make any family happy.

This one-year-old boy is looking for a family who will show him all the great things a forever home and family will give him: love, cuddles, belly rubs, and a soft sofa to cuddle up on.

Found chained up in a factory he was brought into the shelter to heal physically and mentally from that experience.

Alice

Alice is a bit on the shy side at first, be we know she will blossom beautifully in the right home. She's curious and fairly active, loves food and can live with dogs and humans alike.

Alice has been massively overlooked and we honestly don't understand why. She has been with us from just a few months old and she is now 18 months old. That's far too long, she needs her own home. We are going to subsidise her fee to help her find a forever home.

Experienced Foster or Adopter needed: Currently in Coatbridge Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 UK 🇬🇧

It’s been a while since you last saw Nolan. This sweet boy along with his brother, Norman were rescued from the streets at just a few weeks old. Both were lucky to find homes in the UK around the same time. Sadly Nolan has been returned to us, this little wildling’s family circumstances changed quite soon after he arrived and they just don’t have the time for him.

This has caused him to loose a few manners and pick a few bad habit’s up. Nothing an experienced foster or dog owner couldn’t handle. Nolan has never been given any real separation training and now suffers from separation anxiety. He adores people but struggles a bit with other dogs. When in N. Macedonia he was fine with other dogs but during his time at home he has struggled with the older resident dog and can also be a little lead reactive. These issues can all be worked on and in the right hands we really do believe these issues will start to iron out. For a foster will be there the whole time Nolan is with you, to guide and support you. For adopters we will be there to guide and help settle him into his new home.

He has not been taught how to walk nicely on a lead and has zero recall, again all things that can be taught with love and patience.

At this time we could only consider a foster or adopter that has other dogs in the home if they have the space and time to keep them separated and allow Nolan to have solo walks. We always work towards pack integration but with some dogs this can take a while and we feel Nolan will need some time to decompress, get into a good solid routine and learn some better manners before full pack integration. It was rushed last time and this is the result.

Nolan is a little over 1 year old, he is currently 6-8 weeks into a chemical castration. They typically last around 6 months. So neutering will be needed once the chemical castration has worn off. He weighs in at only 10kg, so pretty small. He is not cat tested and as mentioned above, other dogs will depend on a few factors. Bigger dog savvy children will be considered. He is an active boy that does enjoy his time outside. If we had to liken him to any breed to give people an idea of what his personality is like then we would say Jack Russell. A headstrong, lovable and loyal wildling.

After a few weeks to breathe and relax in foster, Pricilla is now looking for her forever home. This sweet loving, active girl will make a wonderful companion. She loves her walks and general outside exploring. She loves her cuddles on the sofa with all the family.

Currently in foster in the UK (Waddington) but can be homed anywhere on the UK mainland. Her foster mum speaks highly of her and says she would have loved to have kept her if she had the space. But 5 dogs are a bit much! As you can guess Pricilla lives with other dogs and with slow-managed introductions she will fit wonderfully with any other dog. She is a playful, friendly girl. Cat's may be a little trickier, but with enough patience, it is perfectly doable. Depending on the cat and the space.

Pricilla is around 18 months old and weighs in at around 15 kg. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, tested before travelling to the UK for major diseases (Leish, heartworm, brucella etc.) and passed with flying colours.

She is brilliant with children, her current foster home has a lovely dog-savvy 5-year-old in the home and they adore each other.

Let us introduce you this lovely young gentleman whom we’ve named Zorro (can you tell why? 😁). He is 5 months old who was dumped outside the city, in a place notorius for abandoning unwanted pets where most animals don’t survive long cause of passing trucks and a few but very angry villagers. Zorro stole a slipper, I mean he was just a pup, and that made the slipper owner very angry so he chased him.
Luckily Zorro ran out in front of our car and of course we rescued him from a beating on its way towards him. 🍀

We still can not understant how can someone abandon such a beautiful puppy, 🥺 who is also very sweet by nature, calm and patient, great with every single person, dog or cat he meets, he is simply like a dream come true. 💞

Zorro is fully vaccinated, dewormed, health checked by a vet and is ready to find his forever home. 🏡

At the moment Zorro lives with several dogs and cats in foster, will be lead trained before arriving to a potential home but wishes from you to share his post for him. 🩷

Urgent!!! 🙏🏻

Freya was dumped as a puppy on the street and later caught and spayed from the dog catchers. She is not traumatized from this experience, like many of the other dogs that went through the same treatment. Instead she is just as goofy and lovable like before. She adores humans and is always ready to play and cuddle, bursting with positive energy. 🥰

Freya is 1 year old, medium size - 20kgs, she loves to run around and play, go on walks, so more on the active side, activity wise. 🐕 But, she also loves her naps and I always catch her napping in various silly postitions. 😆 She is good with other dogs, so if you are looking for a friend for your doggy, she is your girl. 🐾

The area she was living in is no longer a safe place for doggies, so she had to be moved. She is in a temporary foster, but she can only stay there for 2 months, then is back on the street for her. 💔

Here’s a story about a girl who is most likely never to find a home. Daisy is a girl who is so full of life, she has a determined spirit and she adores human company. So still, even if the chances are tiny we need to try to find her a home. She deserves that much. Please see her history to understand our slightly sad position on this beautiful soul. Let's get the deets down first before getting into the history.

Ok, let's dive in:

Originally found when we went to rescue two puppies last winter. She just came for the chance to get some food. She did like to be petted but picking her up was a different story. Off she went down the road and we thought that was it, she was gone. A slight limp showed as she trotted away.

Having some trouble getting to one of the puppies we originally came for made us stay longer. And so we heard a little bit more about this mystery girl. Who wasn’t a stranger to the locals, ”kept” by some people who aren’t known to take good care of any dogs. And just before dawn, she appeared again, and this time we knew not to try to pick her up, but to make her go inside a crate for food. And surprisingly that worked without too much ado. She must have been so hungry and starved of affection.

Fast forward to the vet, Daisy estimated to be 1 year old, came out positive on all 4 diseases. All 4! That is quite rare and honestly not good at all. So, what do we do now then? Which order do we treat them and will it work? A thorough blood check was made and luckily her blood results weren’t all that bad, considering what diseases she turned out to have.

For the next 6 months, Daisy was treated for Anaplasma and Ehrlichia, Heartworm and Leishmania. All successful. And as any rescuer will know the two latter aren’t easy treatments. So very happy she pulled through our little champion. Of them, 4 diseases 1 never goes away fully, Leishmania. Most dogs live a good life with it dormant, and symptom-free. If it comes back it can be treated again.

There is something special about old dogs and something that equally breaks our hearts. It seems so unfair that they are never considered for adoption. But we have decided to put Sharko up on the off-chance someone falls in love with him and offers him a sofa to retire on. As a lifelong street dog, he has never known a soft bed, cosy bed and regular meals. He can be a little shy at first but once trust has been built he loves his cuddles. Having been thoroughly checked out and he is in good medical condition for his age.

He has spent his life living on the streets he had a guardian angel who fed him every day. When the dog catchers can to take him away she took him to Viktor to be safe. Which is where he remains to this day.

A very rough start, found by a lake, cold, hungry and in need of medical assistance. Marija immediately took him to the vet to be treated and soon enough he started to heal. At 8 months old its more then time for him to find his forever home.

Tara is a sweet small staffie mix who is approximately 2 years old. Weighing in at just 12 kg. She is good with cats, dogs, puppies and humans. She is a real lovebug and adores human cuddles. Marija adores this girl but knows letting her go to a loving family is the best thing for her future.

Found as a stray and Marija was feeding her but didn’t have room for her in the kennels. But to help protect her from the winter snow, frost and cold temperatures she slept in Marija’s van. Marija has said she is the kindest dog and wishes she had her very own family.

This beautiful boy faced a very uncertain future. Captured off the streets multiple times by the dog warden and we were warned the next time he would be put to sleep. Marija couldn’t bear that happening to such a sweet friendly boy who she had been feeding for 2 years. So she asked for help to bring him in.
He now is staying with Marija in her home until we can find him a forever home. This gorgeous friendly boy deserves the very best life.

This beautiful calm gentle girl is looking for her forever home. Rahilka has spent her whole life in a shelter and it is more than time to get her out. She may look like a Collie but don’t be fooled this gentle girl is not. She is calm, and sweet and will enjoy plodding alongside you on wonderful sniffy walks.

That’s not to say she won't enjoy the occasional blast in a secure field or park. Rahilka would suit a quieter family home, she gets on with other dogs and would enjoy the company of a resident dog and would also enjoy the company of bigger dog-savvy kids. Toddlers and babies may be a bit much for this quiet girl. She has not been cat tested.

Tara needs a home, she has spent her whole life in this shelter with her siblings. This sweet girl needs to learn what life can be all about and how wonderful it really can be. She doesn’t want much in life just a family to cuddle and a nice warm place to sleep. A sweet girl who is friendly with other dogs, this sweetie just needs a chance. She is a little shy but once she knows you she is a sweetheart.

Tara was found at just a few weeks old with her siblings by the side of a lake in the height of winter. Their only chance of survival was for Marija to take them in. She has spent all her time inside a shelter and she now needs a home of her own.

He is a happy boy and all he needs now is a family to call his own. 😁 Male 😁 9/10 months old 😁 Small 😁 Fully vaccinated and Passport-issued 😁 4D tested (negative) and will be Brucella tested before travel 😁 Friendly and good with dogs, kids & people Found at just a few months old by Marija after he was attacked by a pack of stray dogs. He needed to spend a month in the clinic to recover but he is now fully recovered and ready for a home of his own. Boudy is still a puppy and will require plenty of mental and physical fun. Why is it that people work so hard to sell themselves as the best dog adopters around, only to then give up on dogs only a few weeks, or worse less than 24 hours (yes, really), down the line? 🤷‍♀️ This honestly baffles us and we don't understand the lack of commitment and dedication to these animals. DON'T get a rescue if:- * You are expecting the perfect dog. * You are not prepared to put effort into helping the dog to settle. * You are expecting your dog to be 100% toilet trained from the first day you bring him/her home. Accidents will happen when they are stressed. * You refuse to listen to and follow the advice given. * You won't allow the dog time and space to decompress and adjust. * You aren't willing to work with issues such as reactivity when you have been forewarned and given advice to manage this process. * You aren't prepared to provide updates so that the adoption team can help monitor the dog's coping abilities and stress levels. * You are expecting the dog to adjust to your life and aren't prepared to alter your own life to accommodate the dog. * Your needs are more important than the dog's. * You've felt the need to lie about your working hours or situation. * You cannot give the dogs time to de-stress and find their feet before needing to groom/bath them, or unnecessarily take them to the vets for a check up. * You have kids that cannot leave the dog alone and respect the dog's space. * You are incapable of setting boundaries to protect both dogs and kids. * You expect instant love and acceptance between your resident dog or cat and the new dog. * You place unrealistic expectations on the new dog. * You are just in the process of moving house or will be moving in the near future. * You are not prepared to provide both mental and physical stimulation for the dog throughout the day. * You are having doubts or aren't on the same page as your partner. Every dog deserves better than this. Every dog deserves a fully committed
