PSA: please reach out to other rescues with low cost spay/neuter options. We have received hundreds of messages and want to help as many people and their pets as possible, but we are fully booked for July. We are a very small, all-volunteer led rescue. Thank you!!🐱🐾

King and Royal are still looking for their forever homes! They're very shy and don't really want to be handled (they slink away), but they're so very good with other cats. They'd make excellent companions for other cats in the house.

Please give the shy kitties a chance 🙏

About Us

Operation Snip was started by former Troy City Council President, Lynn Kopka, in March of 2012. What began as a Trap-Neuter-Return program for feral cats living throughout Troy’s abandoned buildings and alleyways, it has morphed into providing loving homes to friendly cats & kittens also found on the streets.

Our adoptable cats are available through a number of cat adoption groups. If you wish to give a cat a forever home, many of our cats go to Whiskers in Albany and Noah’s Kingdom, or check the clinics at Healthy Pet Center, Petco and PetSmart. You can also send us a message if you’d like to adopt a cat featured on our page! There are so many wonderful cats looking for a home that you will certainly find just the right cat for you and your family.

We operate solely by donation and fundraisers. If you would like to donate:

Donations to Operation Snip can be made through the Washington Park Association of Troy, N.Y. Please write the checks payable to: “Friends of Washington Park.” You must write “Snip” in the memo.
