While they can be kept in an aquarium with other peaceful species of freshwater fish, it is recommended that they be kept in a 'species tank' due to their very specific tank and water requirements.

I am wanting to switch my gravel to a black sand to make my fishes colours stand out more, has anyone got any recommendations on affordable aquarium sand as i’ve looked everywhere and can’t find any, any other tank improvement tips will be appreciated ( i have 2 zebra danios, 1 variatus platy and 1 apple snail)

Hi folks. Hope everybody is doing well. The question is for those who are keeping plants with discus but just only for them, so how you are able to get your plants growing & brown algae free in a discus tank?What is the secret?Are you using CO2?I have a 450l tank with 6 discus, few corys, but my plants are growing very hard & have brown. I’ll attache few pics of the plants. Please have a look. So folks any opinion / recommendation is welcome. Don’t hold it back 😬😁😎!
