Any breeder who never takes a step back to evaluate the dogs coming out of their program, to see where the needed changes may be, and how to proceed is not a breeder you should put your faith into.
Every serious breeder will have off times without litters as they evaluate their productions growing etc. They will make the necessary changes or corrections they need to.
Health testing is a useful tool but there isn't any tool available that is better then your productions to determine what your producing this can take a year to 2 yrs to determine... I said what I said. Don't get lost in this hype. It's a great tool to help a breeder proceed forward but not a guarantee. A long line of dogs and your productions will tell you where you really are. If the test were so full proof we wouldn't be having health discussions so much. No greater tool then stepping back with a break and evaluating the actual offspring. I said what I said.
A breeder who non stop is spitting dogs out, is a glorified mill not looking at bettering anything as they never take time out for evaluations. They are producing for demands nothing else. By the time they discover an issue the dog has produced countless afflicted offspring. Yes an A hip can still throw F hips.....While they tout there clearances and CH titles lol...CHs can be the most detrimental at times, that specimen may not produce there is a difference......throwing out a ton of straight stifles, wry Jaws etc..... Just because they sell puppies doesn't mean they are quality, buying up social media followers etc and pats while they break their bi***es backside out to line up their wallets, and deceive with fake knowledge, mimicking actual reputable breeders and using talking points.
I didn't stutter I said glorified mill with an assembly line and good A game face...
Serious breeders know that true evaluations are of the stock coming out of their program and realize that adjustments will need to be made. Maybe that male and or female needs a different style female or male to compliment him etc things you won't know without a break. Even if it means removing your favorite dog.
If you are outputting 10 litters a year round the clock your just mass producing. I said what I said. Time off is critical to any serious program.
