Between now and the new year there will be lots of firework fun for humans, but for fur babies it can be extremely traumatic. Whether it's Bonfire Night, Parties, Christmas or New Year

Here are a few tips that might help with your beloved pets.

☺️🎶Music for pets🎶☺️

Choose calming music for your dog or cat during firework season.

If you have an Amazon Echo then you can ask Alexa 'play pet calming therapy music' and she will play music which has been proven to help dogs and cats alike.

🐱🎇Firework tips for cats🐱🎇

•Keep cats indoors and provide litter trays for them.

•Block cat flaps and close all doors and windows to stop them escaping.

•Fill their favourite space with treats and toys so they can hide there.

•Don't shut cats in a confined area as they could injure themselves.

•Turn on the radio or TV to mask the bangs outside.

•Draw the curtains to stop bright flashes of light upsetting your cat.

•Act normal around your cat so they don't pick up on tension.

•Avoid picking up your cat if they're distressed as it may provoke aggression.

•Make sure the microchip details are up to date in case your cat does escape.

🐕🎆Firework tips for dogs🐕🎆

•Keep dogs inside.

•Create a safe place for dogs to hide, e.g. a table draped with a blanket.

•Put the TV or radio on as the sound will mask firework noise.

•Close all windows and doors firmly so the dog can't escape.

•Distract dogs with a long-lasting chew
Keep dogs microchipped in case they do run away.

🐈 7 WAYS TO PREVENT YOUR PET FROM GETTING LOST 🐕

✅ Make your home and garden are secure with high fencing and secure gates.

✅ Supervise your cat or dog whilst outside.

✅ Take a dog training course so that your dog will understand basic commands and come when called during walks.

✅ Take regular routes when walking so that your dog is more likely to find their own way home if they get lost whilst walking.

✅ Have your pet neutered or spayed so they are less likely to wander off.

✅ Cats are trickier to control unless they are an indoor cat, so ensure that you have clear photos of your pets so that you can share on social media should they get lost.

✅ Ensure your pets are chipped or have identification tags on their collar so that if they do get lost, they can easily be traced back to you

I’ve only recently moved to Nyngan, I am 21 years old and I have been pet/house sitting and dog walking for over five years now I started as a hobby but that hobby has now grown into a business. I used to work in before and after school care (OOSH) and I worked there for about 4 years. Friends and family would call me friendly, caring, outgoing reliable and trust worthy.

I pet sit in the comfort of the pets own home as I believe it keeps them in routine and lowers anxiety and stress while you are away.

🦴Daily check ins🦴

Daily check ins is a service for a quick call in where I would come to the pets place to feed, check water and a walk if needed.

This service is only charged by stop In NOT charge by pet and NOT charge by hour.

🛏Over night stays🛏

Over night stays is a service where I would stay in the comfort of the pets own home overnight this service is good for pets who don’t cope well when unsupervised.

This service is only charged per night

🐕Dog Walking🐕

Dog walking can be arranged as either a one off or can schedule certain time and days of the week to keep in routine.

This service is good if you just either don’t have the time to walk your dog or you work night shifts ect.

🏠House sitting🏠

You don’t need to always have pets to book with me, if you want to go away on a holiday but want someone to just house sit while you are away this service could just be for you.

🤝Meet and Greet🤝
