This morning Samson was just napping, but in my kooky mind, I thought - " He looks like he is praying". Then seeing all the other "animals" in the background also prostrate (😉) & I thought... "There's a silent revival going on in my living room!" 😆

The things our minds can see, that may not be as perceived, is the real revelation in this picture... Of course this is an exaggerated example. But these are the things upon which I ponder. 🤔

I think way too much. 😮‍💨 Enjoy your nap Samson. Pupdate...He is doing great! He is bouncing back quickly and we are just being diligent with his restrictions and confinement. He is not happy about it, but seems to be enjoying being spoiled a bit more 🥰

Pupdate on Samson... he is doing exceptionally well at home! He is still on staycation keeping "mostly" Seperate from the other dogs. Though Ted invited himself into the stroller with Samson for a nap this morning as the couch crew was a little unruly.

We have been doing RL therapy at home with Samson. If you're unfamiliar - Red light therapy (660 nm red & 850 nm near-infrared) helps reduce inflammation, boost circulation, ease pain, and support skin + cellular repair—all non-invasive, natural healing light.

Well our sweet Samson is home and in his staycation suite. He is walking, albeit quite wobbly in the rear–so we will be restricting his movements to areas that have floor mats and where needed using a support sling. We were given a lesson in some PT for home and will begin red light therapy at home also. He was prescribed emergency use pain meds but was not given any today and is doing well without it.

The neurologist also gave us a look at the MRI findings where his injuries are and an unexpected finding of syringomyelia a neurological condition where fluid-filled cavities (syrinxes) form within the spinal cord, often near the brainstem and cervical (neck) region. So far he is asymptomatic but he educated us on the symptoms that could or could not present in the future. Managing symptoms would be much like managing my current special needs pup Jacob, with his hydrocephalus. By controlling CFS production-so not unfamiliar territory.
So now I'm blessed to be a steward to 2 special boys!

I want to sincerely thank everyone for your messages, prayers, petitions, phone calls, love and support. To see so many lovers of animals, fellow breeders and stewards, friends and people I may never meet offer love in so many beautiful ways is deeply moving. I also thank the Creator of the universe for His unwavering mercy & love... His power is made perfect in weakness.

Hubby and I went to visit Samson today. We brought him some of his home cooked food. He is very slow to get himself going after anesthesia, his body temp is a touch low and his bowel is moving rather slow. Hopefully his tasty meal today will get things moving along. We expect to hear from the neurologist sometime mid morning with a plan and anticipate, right now, bringing him home to rest. I do believe we all recover better at home.

I had to take a picture of his vet wrap on his paw as his little grinch feet hairs were poking out. 😆 We followed up our visit by going to get a bunch of organic bananas to bring back for the clinic staff to enjoy and share with Samson haha. He LOVES bananas! I call him my little fruit bat. So hopefully he gets to share a few bites of banana tonight with staff.❤️

Pupdate... I just spoke with the neurologist and he was pleasantly surprised. Samson did herniate his L1 & L2 discs–though they were non-degenerative and so the doctor feels surgery is not warranted in this circumstance. They will be keeping him one more night to monitor him so we need to bring him his home cooked food. Praise God! Please keep us in your thoughts as we work on getting this fella better!
