Wrex has been for a dental this morning to smooth out some nasty spurs that had developed 🥺. All went well and he was home again quickly. He's still a bit wobbly but Garrus has snuggled up to him and they are both asleep in the tunnel now 🥰 He also started passing a lot of blood in his urine last night so had an ultrasound of his bladder while he was under. Looks like he may have a similar longterm bladder issue like Kiki's 😭 so he's on antibiotics for that and due for another check up in ten days.

Little miss Lowlee Pop has been down the vets every Saturday this year 😱 the first two weeks were because she got four pieces of hay (four!) In her right eye which caused a lot of pain and a huge ulcer. And the second two weeks were because she got hay in her left eye which caused another big ulcer, plus a suspected urine infection which she's still on antibiotics for. Poor Lowlee 🥺. Here's hoping it was a January thing and we break that trend now it's February 🤞😖

Poor Phoebe has broken her front tooth 😭 Luckily she still seems to be eating okay (and biting the cage bars 😱). She is already on two lots of pain relief for her wobbly back tooth so that has probably helped a lot. Her front teeth are also crooked as she doesn't eat on the side with her bad back tooth 🥺. She will be back at the vets for a second dental to either remove her bad tooth or file it down again when the vet feels it is necessary ☹.

6th July 2016 - 17th January 2024 💔🌈😭
Our beautiful Ginny Pig has left us. Words cannot express how utterly heartbroken and devastated we are.
Ginny had to have emergency surgery yesterday to check a lump in her stomach. It was inoperable stomach cancer so they had to put her to sleep. She hadn't been anything but her usual happy Ginny Pig self, eating well & being the Queen she always was, so we weren't expecting this. I'd taken her to the vets because her weight suddenly dropped over the last week, I thought it may have been to do with her arthritis. Ginny was 7 years old, which is amazing and was so happy and loved. She had the best life and its so hard to be without her. I miss her so much.
