Oreo the best buck ever
Today I picked up a huge cooler for the Blue Ridge Food Rescue donated by MOM - Mercantile On Main - we are so grateful to have the ability to keep our perishable donations cool until they are distributed. Thank you Sherri Keeley Steffens! This is a great shop and has so much variety / Christmas is coming!
We are a little slice of heaven nestled on the square in Farmersville, Tx .
Shout out to Lisa - her on site grooming will leave your dog with that ah ha "spa" feel. Appointments available- like and follow her page! Blue Ridge is so blessed to have our very own dog grooming specialist.
A Full Service Pet Grooming Salon by Phone Appointment Only.
Hosted an athlete trying out for the dallas sidekicks. Wow! 21 years old and left my Airbnb spotless! Also left me a gift 🎁 - great start to the day 💕

Hope update - the ole girl is always happy to see me. She's enjoying her senior feed and I bring her out to the yard and wet down her belly. She is no longer able to stand. It's very hard to admit what feels like failure - but I can't keep her on this side of the rainbow bridge if she doesn't improve. We will give her the weekend to show improvement. She makes me happy, I want to do the right thing for her. Alpacas live 15-20 years, they hum, nuzzle, make eye contact, they heal the hurt parts of heartache. She isn't in pain, she is still excited for her special food. Thank you to all who have followed her journey, this is a reminder that all of time is precious and limited.
Grateful for the opportunity to be an Airbnb host! If you need a rental in Oklahoma Broken Bow area check out the Lucky Cat - heading to Florida - contact Nikki about her beautiful beach front condo.
Hope - we are doing all we can for her - but some days are just hard on her. She’s enjoying today’s sunrise and grazing.
A great troop! Thanks for visiting us 💕
Howdy Hope! Walking and handling the transition into the barn just fine!
Most ladies don’t want a hairy nose - but we are thrilled to report that HOPE is healing! She has a long way to go, but she is on her way. If nutrition issues could affect a sweet alpaca this much - it’s a reminder that we all need the right food and nutrition. Thank you for following her journey and for your likes and support along the way.
Hope update!
Hope update 💕
Hope!! Update!
Hope 2.0 Blue did great wirh her PT this morning she stood for over 7 minutes. She also took some steps. The pink stuff is called swat, it deters flies from bugging her. She has a damaged eye but I tested and she can for sure see a little.
Our most recent rescues have all assimilated into their herds well. Hope 2.0 Blue has really been struggling. We feel she basically has a condition like polio that we are trying to correct via the correct vitamins. Injectable medications can be intimidating. I have researched a lot and what alpacas eat is very important. This is the first time she has stood up and got back down on her own in the last 30 hours. She has a facial deformity and is partially blind; I think she is beautiful and am thankful for each day with her. I’m thankful for the rescue Southeast Llama Rescue for the opportunity to help 6 of the huge herd that needed help. I found that her little front leg had some compromise as well likely due to all the rain - started treatment tonight. Utilizing drench method to make sure she gets enough water and she doesn’t even mind it. So grateful for our vet! Video from our security camera, I tried to crop and zoom in - she’s eating this morning so that’s a great sign.
Ewok loves his summer shave down. He is running and so free!
I’m growing so fast! Come see me and all my friends. Now scheduling 1 hour farm tours. BarberBlueRanch.com
A fantastic day of fun in the sun ☀️ - we had a perfect view!!
Eclipse & Alpaca Lips - Solar Eclipse Watch Party is tomorrow - message to register and check out the event page for details.
It’s going to be a beautiful day 🥰
Who remembers the good old days when we had party lines?
Even Kevin Bacon loves his alpacas :)
The water freezing is our biggest challenge in caring for our animals, the alpacas, emus, and Great Pyr all love this. They can go in the barn and be warm and toasty but choose to be out.
Wooo hooo
Looking for her eggs, are there any? She’s looking at me… stalking and looking…

Great farm tour today! Thank you for your canned food donations - Blue Ridge Food Rescue is so grateful. This hour long tour wrapped up with each Girl Scout making their own bird nesting project using alpaca fiber, feathers, flowers, and seeds. BarberBlueRanch.com or message me to schedule a tour.
Hope is doing well, we are continuing to work on her nutrition. Follow for updates and check us out @ barberblueranch.com farm tours are $10 adult, $5 kids, children under 2 free. Scheduling tours at 9:00 am throughout the summer. Tours last about an hour.
Update: Hope looking out at her friends. She is routinely getting to her feet in her own. She is also biting the metal fence we think this is due to her mineral diffenciency. This video is from our security camera.
