Hi to all you bug and creature lovers!

I hope you're all as well as can be during these strange times. I know we've been very quiet lately, poor weather has limited our ability to post and life in general has meant The Serpents Quarters has taken a back seat atm (pregnancy combined with a sleep-dodging toddler and homeschooling a 10 year old)

I know a lot of people are struggling atm, and it's great to see communities pulling together to help with food parcels etc. So here at The Serpents Quarters we thought we'd hold out a helping hand with the offer of reptile food for those who are struggling. We have a selection of fresh crickets, locusts and morio worms available for those who are genuinely struggling to feed their creatures atm. Whilst we know our reptiles and bugs are part of the family, when you're struggling they're often far down the pecking order when there's bills to pay and human food to buy.

We're BACK!

We're finally moved and settled in our new home, The Serpent's Quarters are back in business! Sorry things have been so quiet!

We have new mantids, millipedes and tarantulas 🥰

I hope everyone is keeping well, I know we've been quiet for a few weeks now. We're moving house later this month so haven't been getting new stock in, but we'll be back from beginning of November with lots of awesome species of mantis and other creepy crawlies 🥰

We currently have quite a few Madagascan Marbled Mantids in stock, these little guys are bred by us and are from our first hatch from our male and female. These hardy little guys are great little mantids, that will grow to around 7-9cm.

They have beautiful marbled wings when adults and unusual purple/pink eyes.

These guys are only £11.50 with the starter kit!

Due to a recent experience regarding a mantis dying a week after a customer received it, I'd just like to set out where we stand on the matter.

We will only cover a mantis dying if it dies in transit and is dead on arrival. All of our mantids are healthy and well looked after prior to posting. We would never send mantids that aren't eating, and for the rare occasion we have mantids that have had bad moults, we will always be transparent with customers prior to payment being made, and we always offer a discount for this reason.

Communication is key here, many of you have purchased mantids from us so know that I am a reasonable, honest woman. I will always try my best to resolve issues, but if there is no communication to air any issues, then there is little I can do.

Our reviews speak for themselves, before you receive your mantis, or any other creature from us, they are treat as part of our family.

Thank you for reading, I hope you all understand 🙂

A Vinegaroon... whilst it looks like it's related to the scorpion family, its actually categorized as an arachnid!

SPOT THE SPIDER!

These two teeny slings are baby tarantulas! At the moment they're only 1cm 😍 teeny, tiny cute little babies!

One is a Mexican Red Rump and the other is a Giant White Knee!

These guys are a steal at only £8 each 😍😍😍

These little beauties are Giant Gold Millipedes.

Currently around 6-7cm, they'll grow to between 4-6".

Millipedes are fantastic low maintenance pets. Substrate is key, and food wise they will eat almost all fruit and veg.

We have two of these in stock, £10 each. We can supply enclosure for a small amount extra

We have this BEAUTIFUL Salmon Pink Birdeater tarantula in stock.

Currently juvenile so around 6-7cm, however these guys are the 3rd largest species of tarantula in the world, and will grow to around 9-11 inches, and they grow to adult quite quickly (around 1 year from juvenile)

They're a very docile species, and are ideal for beginners. They are an arboreal species so ground space is more important than height.
