This baby might just be one of my new favorites! Hoping it’s irodophores continue to come out 🤞. I’ve also put it in a black tub to try and bring out the dirty pigment. 🤗 I’ve been on the hunt for a dirty leucy with irodophores, I was so happy when I came across this one.
It came to me named “mimosa” but I’m open to other name suggestions!
Little update on gru and blueberry pied babies! I finally got around to helping the stragglers hatch. There were about 75 that were taking their time. Definitely glad I started culturing daphnia a few weeks before these guys hatched 😅
This is one of the babies I purchased from Gru’s first clutch. He was paired with a different female, but hoping for similar results with the ‘Blueberry Pied’ pairing! 🤞 The baby in the pics was produced by the The Mottled Lotl ❤️
If you’re a fan of dirty leucies this is definitely going to be a clutch you’ll want to watch out for 😉
Well Blueberry pied laid lots of eggs 😅 this is only half of them, I counted 398 give or take a few and only a few look like duds. Looks like I am going to have my hands full. I’m very excited about this clutch!
As of this morning she was still laying!!! Her and Gru are going to make such gorgeous babies! Thankful for Gru’s mom for being kind enough to allow us to use him, and thankful for The Mottled Lotl for caring for blueberry pied while she lays her eggs!
So eggcited to see what Blueberry pied will produce!

This is a great example of what a black tub can do for leucies that are genetically predisposed to being dirty. The first pic is the day I received them from galley from luv a lotl. And the rest are from today. It’s been just a little under 2 months in a black tub. Very happy with how these guys are turning out, I swear they get dirtier and dirtier everyday

Newest clutch of babies. Mom was a Gfp starburst het golden albino and dad was albino het Mel. Eggs were from Genevie Hartlieb’s pairing. Turns out mom is also het for Mel. Hoping to get some starbursts out of this clutch!
Getting some big babies started on chopped red wigglers and pellets (hence all the floating dust you see at the top of the water). They’ve been spoiled on black worms, but due to the shortage it’s time to introduce some new foods. I’ve been procrastinating on letting my babies go 😬 whoever these babes end up with should have no problems getting them to eat a variety of foods!
These two get to go home to their new mom and dad tomorrow! They are so excited to finally meet their new babies 🤗
This hypo boy has really turned into a stunner 😍 he was solid yellow for a long time, but I have kept him in a tank in the basement for a few months now. As you can see being kept in a darker space has really made his pigment come out. He’s even got one forked gill on each side. I’m a huge fan of the hypos in case you couldn’t tell 😁

These guys are some of my favorites (don’t tell the others 🤫) They look so pretty all together! They are not kept together in this tiny tub, this was only during water changes.
Captain Crunch
Mom is a long gilled axanthic leucy het copper and Mel and dad is a MAC possible all het these eggs came from the mottled lotl and have been doing great! They produced axanthic blends.
Mom is a 2 year old GFP Mel leucy and dad is copper starburst het for everything except albino. This was mostly to see what mom could produce. This being her first clutch most of the eggs weren’t good, but these guys have been doing amazing! There’s some gorgeous wilds as well as some Mels and an axanthic. Some are gfp as well.
Mom is a GFP MAC and dad is axanthic. These eggs originally came from Northern Axolotls but have been raised by me. They produced GFP and non GFP axanthic and axanthic blends. These babies are the biggest out of all the clutches I am raising, but they still have a little more growing to do before finding homes.
Mom is copper leucy and dad is all- het Mel. The parents are not mine but I have raised these babies from eggs. They made some gorgeous wilds and I also got a few coppers and leucys. These babies still have some growing to do until they are ready for new homes! And yes everyone got a refill on black worms after water changes 🙂
Luna a hypo Mel (“strawberry Mel”) from Roofus Aquatics. She’s quite a bit bigger now, and even more gorgeous. I will have to get updated pictures soon!
