As i often post i am a member of both our Tasmanian and Australian rabbit clubs. This means a lot of time and effort is put into each pairing done as well as making sure each and every bunny is as healthy and loved as can be. often the outcomes of this are seen on our Buntastic Rabbitry page.
I am sharing today a very rare and unique boy we have had born here at Buntastic Bunnies. While both parents and his sister are healthy, happy and thriving, little Pugsley was born a little different...
It is believed he has the rabbit equivalent of Down Syndrome. This has led to this sweet boy having some unique features and left us with various unknown about him.
While he is as healthy as he can possibly be we do not know what to expect from this boy or how long of a life span he may have. He has an odd non symmetrical face that is smaller in proportion to his body with a few various abnormalities.
Being a baby born here, we have retained him not as a breeder but as a loving pet to spend however long he has with us enjoying each day as it comes. This is one of the less sad stories of what happens behind scenes of breeding to the standard. While we wish it was all great news and easy sailing, we experience loss of babies or even mum, missed breedings or incompatible pairings that at times is unknown before it's too late. While given his obvious uniqueness we have made sure Pugsley is as healthy as he can be.

He is a pure mini lop but has a tight crown which is why his ears have not lopped but they could lop as he gets older.

With 2 of us working this rabbitry it means we do a few breeds but recently decided is that Shakira will be pursuing her passion of the big bunnies and working on the British Giant
She showed her first one at todays show and brought home best unrung with Buntastic Trixie
Think it was a pretty good effort from her first litter

Due to the risks of the current viruses i am a CLOSED Rabbitry for the safety and health of my rabbits. This means I will meet you at an agreed location on pick up or pre-arranged transportation.
No rabbit will leave before 10 weeks.
🌟We are active members of both RBAT(Rabbit Breeders Association Tasmania)and ANRCI (Australian National Rabbit Council Inc)

🌟 Our bunnies are breed for Show and so registered breeders have first priority upon available bunnies
🌟 To purchase any of our bunnies i require you to either be over the age of 18 or have your legal guardian contact me on your behalf

🌟 These bunnies and their lines are precious and are the effort of a lot of hard work and time so the courtesy to be give back any that are no longer able to stay in their home is asked as these guys are not throw away pets!!

💖TEMPERAMENT💖
while i handle all bunnies here on a regular basis and expose them to many household noises, pets and children i cannot guarantee their temperament once they leave the care here. Please remember Rabbits like all other animals develop hormonal behaviours and so desexing is really important to help stop these behaviours. to keep the bunnies friendly temperament they do need to continue to be regularly handled in their new homes.

to place a hold on a chosen bunny i do require a 50% deposit that is non refundable for change of mind, in the off chance something happens while the rabbit is in my care deposit is refunded or switched to another rabbit of your picking. The full amount must be paid before or upon collecting the rabbit. i do not have eftpos and am unable to offer change so the correct amount must be with you.
