This series consisted of a total of 5 Shows that took place at Sleeping Willow Ranch and the Big Sky Horse Park.

Are any of my Missoula peeps available for about an hour on Saturday, June 8th? I need someone to be a grill master at our Working Equitation show, at The Big Sky Horse Park. Every thing will be prepped and ready to go, we just need someone handy with a tongs and a flipper who won't burn the place down! Time will be from 1130-1230. Sleeping Willow Ranch is donating some of their amazing Wagu beef, and we will feed you as well. Hit me up if you are available!

I can bring them to the SWR show next weekend, give them to you at our June show, or snail mail them to you. Sorry for the delay.

Entry form for the June 8-9th WE show is now up and open. This is the only WE show we will host at the BSHP in 2024. We are capping entries at 25 horse/rider pairs each day. The SWR show sold out 6 weeks before the show, so if you want to show, please submit your entry form ASAP.

DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!! Tabulating these results and figuring out who paid the nomination fees took way longer than expected. Thank you for your patience. Let me preface this announcement by saying that when we decided to do the buckle series, it was prior to USAWE breaking each division into Open, Amateur and JR. So, regardless of what breakdown you showed in, there is only 1 buckle per division. Next year, we will up the nomination fee so we can cover the cost of 3 buckles per division.

Laura Hendricks, former groom for Olympic rider Debbie McDonald, will be doing a presentation tonight at Western Riding Club. Laura was a member of the US Olympic team and worked alongside of klaus balkenhol dressage in helping train the US team. Laura accompanied Debbie and Britannia to the Olympics in Spain and Debbie is currently the coach of the US team. This is not to be missed, Laura has an extensive experience and amazing talents. She will also be a presenter at the Working Equitation boot camp August 20 through the 22nd in Caldwell. If you haven’t registered yet, be sure to get your chance now. 

This is an absolutely outstanding opportunity to school under Julie Alonso, one of Working equitation most experienced riders. Three spots left! at just $300 for an entire weekend of food, fun, friends and Working Equitation.

The cattle clinic on june 23rd is sold out for riding spots, but anyone can come and watch for free! We will have a mock WE cattle trial in the afternoon. Attn: Working Equitation Competitors. Due to unforseen circumstances with a huge conflicting event, we have to change the date on our 2nd sanctioned show. The show will now be Sept 9-10. All entry forms and licensing are in the process of being changed. So sorry to do this, but the other event changed their date unexpectedly, and there wouldn't be a single available hotel room in town on our original date.

On May 20-22, WE Under the Big Sky and the Big Sky Horse Park/Missoula Horse Council will be hosting Trisha Reed Equestrian from Run-A-Muck Ranch for the next generation of Trisha Reed's Working Equitation Clinic. This fresh format will not only welcome those new to the sport, but is geared for seasoned riders to do a level refresher or a level up check-in for the 2022 season. In addition to small, level specific groups for the clinic, there will be opportunities to sign up for private lessons beforehand and/or a separate "ride a trial" afterwards.
