IMPORTANT UPDATE

In the first week since the start of the campaign only 26 people pledged to our Kickstarter project. We are not making any progress towards our goal, of which we reached only 5%. At the moment, we are certain that we will not reach the target in time and have therefore decided to cancel the Kickstarter campaign.

However, this is not over for Further Backpack! We still believe that it is a game-changing pet carrier. We haven't given up and we will look for other ways to make this project a reality. We have to identify the reasons of this failure, learn from our mistakes and avoid them in the future.

Right now we want to rest after pushing this project for almost a year. It was a lot of work for the team of just two people (and a cat), maybe even too much. We will come back stronger and hopefully with a better plan! We also want to focus more on Goku's Instagram, so if you want to keep up to date with our adventures, please follow .black.cat if you haven't already!

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! 🐾

As you already know we're just a couple that wants to create a great product. Until now we financed everything from prototyping to advertising and marketing from our pockets. But with mass production we hit a brick wall. There's simply no way for us to fund it on our own. That's why we need your help.

We believe this product is a game changer and it will make many people's easier. If you also think so please support this project. Consider this - if we won't make the target, there is a high probbablity that Further Backpack will forever stay just a prototype.

Rainy day? 🌧 We got you covered - literally!

Don't let rain stop you and your pet! Put a raincover on the backpack and go outside. Each Further Backpack will come with a raincover so your pet won't get wet. Our raincover has mesh on the sides so that your pet will have good ventalisation while in the backpack. It's very handy especially when you have a cat. 😹

Cat in a backpack? 😮

We love to travel with our cat, but sometimes it can be difficult. Especially with an impractical carrier. Before we designed Further Backpack, we tested other models.
Neither of them met our expectations - not enough storage space and being uncomfortable when wearing for a longer time were a common issues. When you're taking your pet out the most important thing is comfort - yours and your pet's. With our backpack you can enjoy even long journeys without taking more bags or straining your back. 💙

Pack everything you need in one backpack and explore more with your pet. 🐾

Some time ago we took a short trip to test final version of Further Backpack. We packed up our gear and went to Ojców National Park. We made minor design changes compared to the second prototype, mostly in harness. Increasing the thickness of padding made walking less exhausting even with a heavy backpack.
Goku loves hiking, so he walks on a leash as much as he can. The trail we took was popular with dog owners. So he spent half of the hike in his backpack in the "balcony mode". It gave him more space and he was able to look around.
Unfortunelly, we got caught in the rain during the hike. The backpack was ok because we used waterproof materials, but Goku wasn't so happy. That's when we came up with the idea of adding a rain cover with mesh to our backpack. That way the rain wouldn't get in the way of going outside.
After all, our trip was succesfull and our backpack is ready to be mass produced.

The extra storage space is one of the best features in Further Backpack. Shockingly it's lacking in almost every other pet backpack. We know first-hand how inconvenient it's to carry extra bags even for a short walk.

As you know we wanted to start our Kickstarter campaign in August but unfortunately we have to postpone it at least until September. The second prototype that we received doesn't fully meet our expectations and we have to develop it further (pun not intended). 😆

We want this product to be the last pet backpack you will ever buy and that's why we cannot release until we know that the backpack is as close to perfection as possible.

We are really thankful for the hype, support and feedback until now and hopefully you'll understand that this decision is made with the customers' good in mind! There are quite a few pet backpacks available on the market. We’ve already had 2 different backpacks ourselves, but none suited us 100%. The most common problem we encountered was the lack of extra storage space. There usually was a tiny pocket that could only hold some treats and maybe a leash , so if we wanted to go out somewhere we always had to take another bag for our stuff. The second problem was discomfort. During longer walks our shouldlers and back started to hurt. Badly distributed weight did not allow to carry the pet comfortably for a long time.

That is why we decided to design a backpack which would be comfortable both for the pet and its owner. Spacious and suitable even for long hikes. 🏞

"Balcony mode" - you don't know you need it until you see it 😃

It provides extra space during walks and allows your pet to see the outside world even when lying down. Thanks to regulated straps you can adjust the tilt angle of the cover to your pet's preference. 💙🐾
