Tigger has been with us 230 days. She is our 2nd longest shelter resident. She came in with her son Sam but he has since been adopted. Tigger would love to find her retirement home.

Meet Tigger!

Tigger is a brown tabby and she is 10 years old. Tigger absolutely LOVES treat time & meal time! She is a little more on the reserved side and likes to hang out in the cat tower. She unfortunately had to come to us after her owner when into senior living.

She has been fully FVRCP vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated and is SPAYED. She does ok with other cats in her room and even met a few dogs with no issues. We think a quieter home would be best suited for her personality type.

~OUT ON TRIAL~

Poor Keko thought she found her forever home, she absolutely loved living with children (which was a surprise to us) but unfortunately she was returned due to the other cat in the house picking on her. 💔 Keko came to the shelter a nursing mom and waited a long time to be adopted. This can’t happen a second time to her.. she is ADORABLE! 😻🤩 A young dilute calico, petite in stature, meek & mild personality who gets along with most any person or animal. ✔️ Keko is a wallflower who could be overlooked if she’s sleeping in a cubby hole during visiting hours. Along with her docile personality and beautiful features she’s also spayed, estimated around 2 years old, fully vaccinated and up to date with deworming. Keko is the full package ready and waiting to be delivered to her new forever home! 🙏💖

Sunny has been at the shelter 237 days. Right now she is our longest shelter resident. She is a gorgeous cat who is not very social with people.
She loves her treats and wet food. She just need someone to give her a chance to become part of a family. She should be fine with other cats once she gets used to them and maybe a home with just adults of older children.

She is FELV/FIV tested, SPAYED, FVRCP vaccinated, flea treated and dewormed.

UPDATE: Briar has an ADOPTION PENDING! 🥳🥳🥳💗💗💗 She’s leaving the shelter in a few days! Her new owner promises to send pictures once Briar settles in to her new home. 🥰

Briar update: she doesn’t want to live here anymore 😿

If you haven’t been following Briar’s story she arrived at the shelter from a home with no other pets. She was put into a room with the other females like normal protocol. It became clear very quickly that she really didn’t like the other cats and had to stay separated from them. She became depressed in her cage and hated even seeing them through the bars. We moved Briar out into the ”hallway” which means she had access to the hall, the office, kitchen, laundry. All the public areas of the shelter where many “shelter cats” have lived and enjoyed their lives. Briar seemed to really love this at first. (Top left photo) she was out on the desk, greeting public, following staff and volunteers around. But as the days went on it started to bother her greatly that she could see and smell the other cats through the glass doors. She will hiss, growl and smack at the glass when she has to go by them. If a cat happened to run into the hall.. it completely ruined her day. She would hide for the rest of it, usually behind the washer. Everything got worse a few days ago when she had a run in with a dog who was visiting. Obviously at an SPCA we have many animals come and go daily. This last incident really seems to have scared her. She hasn’t come out of the lining closet (bottom left photo) or hiding behind the washer for the last 2 days.

It has become really clear now. Sweet Briar doesn’t want to live here.. she wants a quiet home of her own. 😿🥺

Please someone who has a nice, cozy, quiet place for our beautiful little purrmuffin. 🙏 She loves to sleep, relax and loves attention until she’s ready to sleep again. Briar is very sensitive.. she doesn’t like the business and constant change the shelter life brings. If you know someone who would be a good fit for this sweet girl please tag them! She’s spayed, fully vaccinated and dewormed. Estimated 2-4 years old! Her adoption fee is sponsored! (Thank you Joan Snow!💖) She needs a home now.

These gorgeous boys are looking for a home together as they do everything together.

They are 10 months old and are very sweet cats. They did live with cats and children before so they would be fine after an adjustment period.

Please keep in mind they are longer haired cats so they would require regular brushing to keep them looking handsome.

Columbus was once a great explorer, he grew up on the streets and has a few stories and scars to prove it. 🐈‍⬛ If you ask him what happened to the missing part of his ear, all he will say is “the other cat lost both ears.” 🙄🤔 Oh Columbus. He’s spent the last few months of his kitten life in the shelter and has reached the age of 1. When he first arrived he was a bully but has since been neutered and it has softened his opinions on other cats. He now coexists with many, though he may still give newcomers a razing. Columbus would love to be the only cat in a house or in one where he could be left alone. He imagines himself as a lone wolf, a great explorer who depends only on himself.. and humans for treats and cuddles of course. 🙊 He does love attention, to be sooked and wants to be involved in everything. Columbus is more than sick of exploring the SPCA and is ready to go out on a new adventure to a home of his very own if only someone will take him! 🤞🖤

The guy with the exclamation mark on his nose!
That’s Luka❣️ While we may not know why he’s still adoptable, lucky for one of you.. he is! Luka is bar none one of the best cats on planet earth. 🌎😻 He is so sweet, he wants nothing more than to be loved and give love. Everyone comments on how nice he is and how personable. It feels like he’s *almost* been adopted SO many times! Sometimes cats are in the shelter for long periods of time and we don’t understand why. Then this absolutely perfect home comes along and it all makes sense. That has to be the case for this guy, but please let it be soon. 🙏 Luka is a year and a half old, he’s been neutered and fully vaccinated by the shelter. He has a reduced adoption fee of $120 since he has one of the longest wait times. Someone out there must be missing a tuxedo cat with an exclamation mark on his nose! 🖤🤍 He’s down at the shelter.. come meet him yourself!

Well for being named Catman he certainly isn’t a big cat fan. 😾 Poor Catman really doesn’t like other cats so he has been spending his time in the shelter in a cage. 😿 When he heard that Jennifer & Mike were in town and willing to foster a cat who needed a break, he jumped at the chance! 😻 Lucky for him he’s on a 2 week vacation at their 5 star foster home. Now if only he could get adopted before he has to return! 🙏

“🌟 Introducing the cat with the bandit mask – but the only thing he's stealing is hearts. He's currently named Catman, but deserving of a name as unique as his personality. Perhaps "Bandito"?

🎭 With his striking mask, he could give Zorro a run for his money. But don't let his bandit looks fool you; this cat is the ultimate lovebug. 😻

I picked him up yesterday late afternoon. From the moment he strutted into our home, it was clear he was here to steal hearts. His confidence? Unmatched. His head bops? Absolutely irresistible. He was only here maybe 3 hours when he crawled up in my arms. And when he cuddled up on me and started making 'biscuits' on my shoulder, I knew he was something special. He’s such a love! 🍪💕
His manners are impeccable - he's a scratching post enthusiast, leaves furniture alone, and a litter box aficionado. Plus, he's freshly neutered, making him the perfect gentleman. 🎩

He is on a short holiday from shelter life with us, escaping the cage due to his aversion to other cats. This cuddle bug is only here until next Thursday, and we're on a mission to find him a forever home so he doesn't have to return to a life in a cage at the shelter.

Tom & Jerry are 2 BEAUTIFUL orange bois! They have it all.. the gorgeous looks and personalities to match! 😻🤩 They are 1 year old brothers and have been vaccinated/dewormed at the shelter but are not yet neutered. Tom is the short hair brother and Jerry is the long. They absolutely love eachother but get along great with other cats as well. They’ve also lived with a dog and bunny in the past. It would be so great if they could be adopted together but also available separately. Two is always better than one as long as it’s affordable!

Wendy is a sweet young female around a year old who was found wandering outside. It was clear from her belly she was spayed and so friendly that she must be owned. After a few posts it was found out she was recently given away on the buy n sell and didn’t get along in the new home. They no longer wanted her. Let Wendy’s story be a warning of the danger of giving away pets online to strangers, you don’t have any idea where they will end up. Lucky for her, she ended up at the shelter and can try to find another home. She’s spayed and only around a year old! Perfectly sweet and friendly little grey tabby who would love to be loved! 🤍

There once was a time when a grey kitten would have several applications right away…

There once was a time when a bobtail kitten would be fought over…

And now look 👀 we have a grey (dilute calico).. bobtail.. baby who’s been waiting for 158 days! 🙀 Lilly is the sweetest little bunny cat and she’s just growing up in the SPCA. 😿 Lilly was rescued from living outside with her 3 bobtailed brothers. They were all adopted months ago and she remains! She’s now almost 11 months old, super petite and sweet. She’s been spayed and fully vaccinated by the shelter. She gets along great with other cats and loves people. We can’t believe she hasn’t been scooped up! 💝

Also peep sad Keko in the background who’s been waiting 298 days! Oh my.. these poor girls need homes!

Meet Skittles!

He is a very handsome boy and only 2 years old. Skittles is very friendly and still getting used to the shelter environment. We don’t expect him to be here long. He has a beautiful medium length blonde/sandy colour coat with some white on his face.

Skittles would be good to go to a home with other cats and dogs too. He lived with both in his previous home. He would also be good to go to a home with children too!

He is FIV/FeLV tested Negative, NEUTERED, FVRCP vaccinated, flea treated and dewormed.

🎅🏻 Catmas cats #1 - The LONGEST waiting cats
❗️Waiting 493 days.. 1 year & 4 months 🙀❗️

It’s very hard to believe but Scrappy and Bruno have been waiting almost a year and a half. 😿 They originally came to the shelter as part of a hoarding situation. Although they have always lived in a house, they didn’t get much human interaction since there were so many other cats. Unfortunately that has continued at the shelter. These 2 boys are “cats cats”… meaning they only have eyes for other kitties. 😻 They love eachother and any cats who come in the room with them. They are very hard to touch and need to be put in a small area and sort of forced into it. Unfortunately the shelter doesn’t have many places to set them up like that and they’ve mainly been living in a large room with many other cats for their whole stay. This isn’t doing them any favours for human interaction but they also are safe, comfy and have eachother. What they really need is a home who will work with them, have patience and time to win them over. Their neuters have thankfully been sponsored by Mission Kitty! 💖 (Thank you Mission Kitty!!) Normally cats waiting so long would have been neutered by now but the staff can’t catch them in time for fast appointments. They’re adoption fee has been sponsored as well! 🙀 If you know anyone looking for projects to win over they are sweet boys. They don’t have a mean bone in their body and they aren’t feral, they’re just skiddish, especially Scrappy! They would do best in a home with super friendly cats to show them how to love humans. Scrappy & Bruno are hoping for a Christmas miracle! Someone out there must have room in their home and hearts for them. 🥹🙏🤞

Wendel is a 1 year old kitty who was adopted from the shelter as a baby but returned due to not completing her spay requirement. Just a reminder that ALL animals adopted from the SPCA are required to be spayed or neutered when they reach the age requirement. That is the shelters mandate and we take it very seriously. Wendel is one who started having undesirable behaviours due to not getting spayed. Now since shes been spayed by the shelter she is absolutely perfect! 😸 A spay and neuter can eliminate an animals need to mark their territory as well as stop reproducing and potential diseases or illness! It’s really a no brainer. Wendel is hoping she can find her forever home now that she’s an extra adoptable spayed kitty. She loves people, super friendly and is great with other cats too.

Mama Skye will soon have to return to the shelter if she can’t find a home ASAP. 😿🙏 The sweetest mama cat has certainly won over the heart of her foster mom and everyone who’s met her so far. She is so friendly and loveable, all she wants is a bit of attention! At only around a year old she was brought to the shelter with her babies. She got sick, needed extra care and went into a foster home. At one point she couldn’t eat herself but still wanted to tend to her babies and let them feed off of her. 🥺 She’s now good as new and hoping she can find someone who will adopt her before she has to return to the crowded shelter. 🤞🤞 If you’re looking for a super friendly, adorable, personality plus type kitty - Skye is the one! 🤍🖤
