10/3/2024 PUPDATE!!!!!!
Hudson was released yesterday from Purdue, and doing well. Yesterday he was pretty tired and just rested. This morning, he's a whole new puppy. He ate his dinner overnight! Greeted us at the kennel door, and later this afternoon, found his voice, which he is using a LOT! He lets us all know that we are to pay attention to him and only him and when we aren't, well he lets us know promptly. He is going to a MEDICAL FOSTER to get stronger and heal more, build his immune system and learn to be a puppy. Will update as often as possible (I'm dealing with some personal stuff, so that's the reason for the delay in the update, or lack thereof yesterday, my apologies)
8:15am 10/1/2024 WE CAN BREATH AND CELEBRATE!!! Barring any unforeseen setbacks, Hudson is eating on his own, he's being weaned off of all IV meds and feeding tube.....and may be released as early as tomorrow. The power of faith, determination and his fight to survive has proven WE DO NOT GIVE UP! Thank you everyone for keeping this little one in your thoughts, prayers and good vibes!
9:00am 9/30/2024 WBC is in the NORMAL Range!!!!!
8:10am 9/30/24 Purdue called and said Hudson is bright and alert this morning, took a little walkabout in his isolation room, gave a little shaky shake, peed over the grate and being more puppy’ish 🐾💗🐾. Full CBC panel taken this morning, hoping to see improvement there with his WBC, but overall, your prayers and good vibes appear to be working!!
6:30pm 9/29/24 Hudson is sitting up and watching everyone around, more alert and is off some of the meds, staying cautiously optimistic but with a little more confidence
8:45am 9/29/24 Hudson slept well, nothing much to report from overnight, but they feel he is moving in the right direction and happy with the baby steps he’s making! Keep the good vibes and prayers coming!
9:30pm 9/28/2024 Hudson is making baby steps to improvement!!! His fever is gone, and his temp is back to normal range. Dr said one of the nurses sprung him for a few minutes from his kennel and he had a few minutes of acting like a real puppy, he pooped out quickly, but it's progress!!!! He also ate a tiny amount on his own, YAY! Still cautiously optimistic!
9:15am 9/28/24 Hudson is still critical, however he remained stable throughout the night. Being cautiously optimistic. Keep the good vibes and prayers coming!!

7:00pm update 9/27/24 Hudson remained stable for the majority of the day, they put in a feeding tube and he is tolerating that well. His BP dropped a bit late afternoon/early evening. Continuing care with hopefully better news later. He’s still fighting, so we will still fight for him! Keep the prayers and good vibes coming, he’s still critical and very fragile still ~Jackie
4:45am 9/27/24 Hudson declined rapidly overnight, he is fighting tho, and the team at Purdue is fighting with him. I’ve asked them to keep trying, and not give up.

SOS!! We pulled a puppy to save its life and give him a chance at a loving, caring and safe home. Meet Hudson (f/k/a Happy), he’s currently at Purdue in ICU with suspected Parvo, 2 snap tests showed faint positive, however the oral test at Purdue was negative. He has a temp of 105°, pale gums and appears dehydrated, and is lethargic. If you are so inclined or able, we could really use some help for his vet care. We have two options if your able, both are on the website (PayPal or Zeffy). In todays economy we understand if your unable to help financially, but we ask that you please share Hudson’s post 🐾💗🐾
