How long can chicks survive during shipping?
Day old chicks hatch with some of the yolk material from their egg still available for sustenance. This yolk sac is inside their bellies and will completely nourish them for 72 hours without food or water. Chicks stay warm during shipping, with help with the 72 hours heat pack no matter how cold it is outside.
These babies chicks are three weeks old, they are packed with grow gel, blended cucumber for hydration, food and heat pack. Average four days for survival
shipping can be very stressful and unpredictable! But that is the risk we agreed to when we live long distance and can't drive to pick them up. Safe travels, sweet babies.

ERMINETTE AMERAUCANA
A delightful Ameraucana project variety that produces black and white, solid white, and solid black birds.
My line is from fellow Minnesotan, Lance Harmon. He created his line by breeding the black and white pattern from the Erminette breed into Black Ameraucanas.
Two years ago I began breeding birds from Lance to an unrelated line of Black Ameraucanas. This is a project I enjoy talking about so please let me know if you have questions about breeding this color.
They are beautiful additions to your flock and excellent layers of large blue eggs.
Erminette Ameraucana hatching eggs are available for preorder and shipping since in April 2024.

This is Hensley's bonded friend, and they cannot bear to be parted. (Hensley is our blue bantam Cochin.) I gave up switching up their flocks a long time ago. They do beautifully together, and they've finally accepted my frizzle rooster, Mike as a new companion! This is so exciting for me, bc I can't wait to have some of their babies- either girl paired with Mike could give me more frizzles.
Alarma just turned 3 last month, of course with Hensley (The P**f) by her side.

They bring so much joy and sweetness to our lives.

🌱 This was a busy one! 🌶️ The girls helped their dad turn over the garden beds, so that we could plant our summer garden today! 🥒 ⭐️ We planted over 40 plants, and of course, we couldn’t have done it without the girls!

I didn’t pay the bill, electricities went out 🥴 babies are in distress. Friendly reminder to always have a back up plan in case emergencies like now. if the electricity goes out how these babies are going to survived. 🌱🐣 I am just blessed and fortunate to have automatic generator in my home. Adding it to my brooder( out house ) are on my to do list this summer. so I have to remove all these babies from their brooder and put them into my mudroom until tomorrow. 🐣🌱 for back ups , I have tons of 75 hrs heat packs you can buy them from Amazon and large plastic containers are a must have In your stash. 🐣🌱 My light came back on in less than an hour. My mother instincts are not taking any chances. 😂. Babies will be back out tomorrow morning. Thanks to my neighbors who is the head of the light company in my area. 🐣🌱🌞 🌱🐣 like and follow for more friends.
