The Solar Project

At Bukid Farm, rainwater is the only main source of water supply without pumping water from underground. However, due to water shortage and rain becomes unpredictable, Bukid Farm decides to use renewable energy to provide water for our daily household and farm needs.

Bukid Farm uses Wind power to pump water from underground with depth of 42 meters which produces potable water and sufficient supply for our daily needs.

We also use Solar energy from the Sun for our farm needs. We are harvesting Solar energy using a total of eight solar panels to power up a submersible pump that can pump almost 6000 liters of water per hour to supply water for our irrigation and other farm needs.

Bukid Farm’s goal is not just to produce organic healthy food but also to help reduce carbon footprints by using cost efficient and alternative source of energy.

So at Bukid Farm, God-given Wind and Sun is equal to Water Source!!!

Remember, when God blesses you with a gift, turn it into something worthwhile and use it for the common good!!! 🌞🌬🌾

Everytime I go to Bukid Farm I bring this huge creature Mster C**n. He has FLUTD condition and he has to take maintenance meds so I have to bring him wherever I go. This time, I brought 2 of them, him and Tabs. Currently I have 10 cats. Would you imagine how my car looks like if I bring them here altogether? Jampacked!!! 🙀🤪😸

Day 12: Windmill Project - Almost done🏗️🚧🌦️💪🏼

“When the wind of change blows, some people build walls, some build windmills”. - Chinese Proverb

We opted for the later... and so, Bukid Farm’s windpump is finally up!

Windpump is a type of windwill that is used to pump water from underground. Using wind power, windmill provides renewable electrical energy that is environment-friendly since it does not cause pollution.

Wind pump works when the turbine blades or the windmill wheel located at the topmost part of the tower catch the wind and then turns the rotor. The mechanism then creates an up and down motion to the pump rod thereby pulling water up the pipe and into the storage tank. Water collected are for home use and irrigation.

Even under the scorching July sun, these men tirelessly install Bukid Farm’s tent frame and it’s canopy.
Made from free-standing steel frame and canvas, the tent provides good shade for outdoor gatherings and relaxation. ⛺🏕🎪

Day 8:
Work Hard! Play Hard!

Preparation, excavation and setting all necessities for the farm is quite tiring. So, to make it a little lighter, today, We looked at working as hitting two birds with one stone. We get to exercise and sweat a lot while fighting boredom.
After all, here at Bukid Farm, we believe that
“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” ... but in this case, all work and no play makes Mommy Cat a dull girl🤣🤣

Day 4:
Bahay kubo, an icon of Philippine culture and a quintessence of Pinoy life, prides itself in the middle of Bukid Farm.
Using indigenous materials, its roof is made up of dried coconut leaves or cogon grass tied up together while finely split bamboos make up the walls and floors.
Feel refreshed, energised and enjoy the fresh air, cool breeze and the green earth of the surrounding. Bukid Farm will certainly make you fall deeply in love with farm life. ❤️🏡🥰
