The next Pet Food Pantry will be SATURDAY 8/24 from 9-11am or until gone, at the building adjacent to the Newberry Senior Citizens store.

Note the pantry will be back to its normal day/time next month.

PET FOOD PANTRY DONATION EVENT!!!

Did you know LCPP gives away $400-500/month in dog & cat food to anyone in the community that stops by on pantry day (date varies). This is all funded by grants and generous donations. In the last fiscal year, we helped 330 families and their 616 cats & 572 dogs.

Where: Newberry Farmers Market
When: Thursday 8/22 from 4-6pm
What: Drop off donations for our monthly pet food pantry and get entered into a drawing for a gift certificate for the Ice Cream Bandits!

Suggested Items: small unopened bags of dog, puppy, cat, or kitten food; canned dog food; canned cat food

Tina will be there to answer questions you may have about the pantry, as well as anything Luce County Pet Pals related. You may also leave a message at 906-291-1176

Come on out to the Luce West Mackinac County Fair this weekend, and visit our tables! Luce County Pet Pals, Inc. will have our close out t-shirts for sale, plus information on services we provide. The Luce County Animal Shelter will also have information on some wonderful animals available for adoption, volunteer information, and some very cool magnets/ornaments available as well!

Both tables are just inside the door, side by side.

I hope to see you there!!!

Some of our vendors will be out setting up this evening for our Craft Show Flea Market on Saturday and Sunday. Here is a list of everyone we have confirmed!

A few vendors mentioned in passing that they were interested, but did not confirm that they were officially coming. If you are one of those vendors, you are still welcome! Just pay when you come to set up.

If you never contacted us but decided last minute that you do want a space, come on down! We are out of our own tables, but we still have plenty of space for your own set ups! Again, just pay when you get here!

If you have any questions, or want to give permission for someone to pick up food for you, please call or text 906-291-1176 prior to the pantry. (Please note this phone is not always answered but all messages are returned within 1 business days).

Forrest is a fun loving beagle that would be a great addition to your family! He’s very friendly and in the prison training program right now 🐾🐾🐾

Meet Forest! He is this weeks' Adorable Adoptable from the Luce County Animal Shelter.

Hi there! I am Forest! It is believed that I was born in December of 2022. That makes me just over a year and a half old. I was brought to the shelter as a stray at the beginning of May this year and since no one claimed me I am now looking for my new home. I am a handsome Beagle with a big heart. I hope you come and check me out at the shelter and take me home. I will be patiently waiting at the shelter for my furever home.

Meet Jubal! He is this weeks Adorable Adoptable at the Luce County Animal Shelter!

Jubal is a healthy, energetic, happy pup. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed. His short coat makes him an easy groomer! He loves people and is a sweet and gentle puppy. He gets along well with other dogs and is playful and affectionate. Jubal is graduating from the Newberry Correctional Facility Dog Obedience program. He is intelligent and well behaved. Jubal did very well in training and has learned multiple commands. He is a calm and sweet boy and would be a good family pet. He is waiting for his forever home! LCAS dogs at the prison training program! (I have spent time with all of them while at the shelter, and they are all very sweet and wonderful!)

Power of Community Week in our Newberry branch was all about our furry friends! Suzzy and Angie volunteered at Luce County Pet Pals, Inc. on a day where there were records set for participation! At last count they had assisted 47 families, 84 dogs and 113 cats-that's lot of love to go around! Thanks to all who donated and help make it a great day for everyone involved!

Wow! We may have set a record at yesterday’s Pet Food Pantry! We helped 47 families, 84 dogs and 113 cats🐾🐾🐾

We couldn’t have done it without some amazing volunteers! Thank you Angie & Suzie from Nicolet Bank, Kris, and Jake! Also IGA for being so wonderful to work with in ordering our food, the Senior Citizens Store for allowing us to use the space, and last but definitely not least, the Newberry News & M 123 for helping spread the word!
