Early start for the crew! Lots of tongues out of heads today 😝

We welcomed 2 new dogs to our weekly group class! Cloud the bull mastiff x and Wynston the Goldie 😍 both did so well and settled in nicely 👏👏

Dogs were a bit flat today, warmer weather can certainly do that. So majorly different today, practicing our walking around dogs, implied sit stays, introducing spin as we’re moving, weave and figure 8 tricks!

Say hi to the new kids! Ralph + Frankie 😍

Ralph + Frankie are both a bit nervous when out and about. So today was all about building a relationship, engagement and having some fun!

For rest of the crew today it was business as usual. Focusing on loose leash walking, managing reactivity, puppy development, relationships building, play and much more!

Puppies have a critical period at approximately 8-16 weeks of age, during this period pups learn all about how they’re suppose to interact with the world.

THIS is the main focus of puppy kinder. Ensuring our pups develop into confidence and resilient dogs.

We cover:
➡️ Appropriate Exposure
➡️ Basic obedience (sit, drop)
➡️ mat command
➡️ Communication
➡️ Play
➡️ Problem solving common puppy issues (mouthing, jumping)
➡️ Grooming + Manual Handling
➡️ Recall
And much more!

Designed for pups up to 6 months of age.
Must have had 1 vaccination 2 weeks prior to week 1.

Todays good looking crew 🤩

Welcoming the new kid on the block, Sully 😍

Today all dogs were on their best behaviour! The 5 main focuses today were…

1️⃣ Loose leash walking!

2️⃣ Recall - coming back when called every time.

3️⃣ Engagement- choosing me over everything!

4️⃣ Play - we’ve still got to have some fun 💃

5️⃣ Challenge the dogs! Make things more difficult. This looked like recalling Yindi from a further distance, Dropping the long line for Charlie, increasing distance and height for implied downs for Otto, Pace changes for Loki + Riley, moving closer to busier roads with Harper, giving Honey + Charles more freedom to make their own choices and building a relationship with Sully 🎉

🎉Exciting news! Our foundation course just got revamped! 🎉

Here’s how it works:
1️⃣ First, we’ll kick things off with a 45-minute private consult (to be completed before March 16th).
2️⃣ Then, we’ll dive into 3 weekly group classes on March 16th, 23rd, and April 6th.

Why the change? In the past, Week 1 felt a bit chaotic, with both dogs and owners feeling stressed. By starting with a private consult, we can help ease that initial stress before joining the group.

✨ Nala + Theo ✨

These two little dachies have lots of s***k!

Nala (on the right) is a bit nervous of people and dogs, this means she will bark and lunge when on leash. She does this to create distance and whenever distance is given it’s reinforced the behaviour.

Theo is a very excitable dachshund, and had learnt to bark at dogs to interact with them.

We made sure both dogs had outlets to do dachie things through play, gave them both a job on a walk to create clarity and confidence building for Nala.

Cooler weather meant doggos were full of beans today 🫘

This handsome man has some big feelings around dogs and cars, he would see dogs in the distance and instantly tense. Ultimately leading to him barking and lunging at dogs.

By building both his families and his confidence up, giving him some new boundaries and outlets he is able to co exist a lot better with dogs. And car chasing is now non existent 💪🙌

Blues owner has put in so much work and it has paid off 🔥

A gorgeous duo 😍

Faith, whilst a small Newfoundland, is a big dog and can have some big feelings around other dogs. Especially when there’s lots of movement. A lot of our work with faith was about engagement with her mum, how to disengage around dogs and work with her mum not against on walks 👏

Athena is a smart cookie who loves to learn! Time with Athena was all about new tricks and ways to stimulate her 🧠 from engagement games to tricks such as spin, middle, touch, switch and much more!

These girls are lucky to have have a wonderful family who not only adore them but put in the work for them to live their best lives 😍
