How It All Began 🐾
People often ask how I got started making and selling dog collars and honestly, it all started with fostering. I was heartbroken seeing my foster dogs get passed over, so I wanted to make them stand out and catch people’s eyes.
At first, I was just gluing ribbons onto plain collars and throwing together bowties and tutus (let’s just say they were… creative). But something interesting happened — people started connecting with the dogs through their collars. Someone would see a pup in a Batman inspired collar and light up because they were a Batman fan. That’s when I realized how something as simple as a collar could make a real connection.
So, I stepped up my game. I started sewing my own collars with fun fabrics, learning as I went. Before long, people began asking me to make collars for their own dogs — and even adopters were requesting extras for their other pets. That’s how Sweetie-Pie Collars was born — out of love, rescue, a little bit of creativity, and a lot of heart. ❤️
