Good evening, as we always post on dogs who are about to lose their life. We would like to share a story on a young lab. Being only 12 months old she endured so much in her short life then most animals do. She was found in a ditch after being shot and hit by a car. They think she was there for a few days. When animal control found her. After her stray hold was up, she was placed on the euthanasia list. A few weeks out of the shelter and proper surgery. LOOK AT HER SHINE!

We had a successful fundraiser last week! So that mean ANOTHER WEEK OF FUNDRAISING!

As the lists grow, so do the costs. From vetting, boarding, transport and ensuring our fosters have everything they need, it gets expensive. 100% of rescues rely on donations for the wheel turn. If no donations come in, that means we pay for things out of own pocket. We neglect the things we love to network these voiceless animals to ensure they don’t die due to the failure of irresponsible humans. Any donations would be extremely appreciated and beneficial. So we will be doing a fundraiser to help multiple rescues out with the daily costs they face !

One spot is $5. Up to 100 spots! Will start today and winner will be picked Friday night at 8pm EST!

50/50, 50% will go to the winner and 50% will go to the rescue of the week! This week we will supporting Lost Ball Canine Rescue ❤️

🆘🆘 In the past 3 days, 9 dogs have been killed at BARC in Houston, Texas. In the past week, 88 dogs/cats/puppies have hit the red list when some of them being there for only a day. That might not seem like a lot but those are the dogs that are “adoptable.”

In some months. There are sometimes 500+ dogs that we don’t even get a chance to network. I understand some people don’t see a problem with this, but there is.

This is just one shelter in Texas.

San Antonio euthanized 83 dogs in 11 days. If you don’t think there is a problem. I don’t know I can say to convince you then.

Those marked status red are in imminent need for rescue and in danger of being euthanized if not picked up by a rescue or adopted. Contact the rescue team during business hours immediately to facilitate pickup if you are interested in a red tagged animal. Although we don’t have a specific deadline/euth date, most red listed dogs are euthanized just days after being red listed. Time is of the essence!

We need rescues and adopters. Some of the dogs on these lists are ranging from 2 weeks old to seniors. It’s very disheartening to see this.

Owner surrenders can be euthanized at any time. They don’t need to hold the 48-72 hour stray hold. Coco is a owner surrender at only 11 months old!
