Our sweet guy passed over the rainbow bridge yesterday. Beau and I held him until the end and I swear it felt like he took a piece of me with him. This guy took a toll on me and dammit it’s not fair what he went through. I only had him a month but he had my heart in a matter of moments. We can learn from maxx, please please please don’t dump your dogs. Please find a rescue, shelter, a person you trust, just reach out. On that note please don’t bash people rehoming their dogs. When you do that, it only hurts the dog and we really don’t want that. If you reach out to us we’re not going to judge you I promise you that. If we can’t take in your dog I’ll do everything I can to help in other ways.
We're seriously heartbroken, yet grateful that Maxx Is no longer In pain. I wish we had more time with Maxx, it wasn’t nearly enough. I made sure his last few days he was spoiled rotten with steak, whipped cream, and all the toys you could ever want. He loved chocolate and he had a chocolate cupcake just for him. I'm grateful for the outpouring of support and donations for Maxx, and I'm inspired by the generosity of our community. I’ll be forever grateful to Sara and her husband who took Maxx in when he was abandoned at the AC parking lot. He was showered with love when he was with them as well.
Maxx was one of the greatest dogs we’ve come across and is now truly free of cancer, pain, and the cruelty of this world. I’m glad he’s part of our pack now.
Again I want to thank Anchorage Veterinary Clinic and Urgent Care they were so supportive and great to Maxx. They made yesterday as comfortable as it could be and I can’t thank them enough for that.
