Tango playing on the hay this morning. As soon as she saw I was not milking she came running.
Tango waiting while I do animals chores this morning.
Who would have guessed that both Perl and Tango would have their first day of swimming, together!! Perl has decided that she loves water. I guess all she needed was her daughter to show her water was fun.
Happy Spring everyone.
My oldest two have been trying to teach Tango tricks. Here she is trying to teach her to crawl. It has been fun to see their interest in training and be able to teach them how to teach.
Almost every time I try to take a video or picture of Tango playing she stops and stares at me. 🤣
The puppies got to meet our only girl kid (so far) her name is Fern. They quickly lost interest when they realized she wasn’t going to play with them.
Soule and Fletcher chasing the toy truck down the hill.
Puppies are getting big. They are starting to get some goats milk, which they are loving! They are playing more with each other, their play growls are so cute. And Ivy is still keeping the other dogs away, you can see her give Perl the side eye in the end of the video.
The pups are spending their time out in the barn and at the house. I like to get them used to different sights, sounds, and surfaces. They have a pen out by the barn we’re they can hear and smell the animals but are safe and they spend lots of time at the house too. They get excited now and came running up when they hear you. These are a really friendly group of pups.

Tumnus, Hwin, and Aravis’s eyes are open!!! Did you know that when puppies eyes are first open they are blue?
Just 18 more days and puppies will be here!!! Ivy is starting to show, she still accompanies us when we herd the goats out to pasture, though she is a little less enthusiastic about it. Most of her day is spend laying in the shade trying to keep cool.
If your interested in a pup, message me and I’ll send you a questionnaire.
Did you know that dogs form a bowl with their tongue to drink?
Pigs sure do love to eat!!
When I heard this joke I thought it was hilarious, I immediately told it to Silas who found it less amusing.
Do you think it’s fun?
Happy Birthday!! After years of planning the Welsh cheese litter was born a year ago today. All the puppies have turned out wonderfully! They are smart, friendly, loving, and have good herding instinct and drive. I am so happy with how this litter turned out and grateful they are all in such loving wonderful homes. If you want to read updates on the pups you can go to my website www.lambsrest.weebly.com.
Why our goats wear bells.
1. The biggest reason they wear bells is so we can find them. Surprise, surprise. We do not have any perimeter fencing around our property and if our animals were to escape they could literal go anywhere. The little fencing that is on our neighbors property is barbwire which the goats and sheep will just go straight through. When we first got the sheep they escaped and only one had a bell on. It took us over 12 hrs to find them and because it took so long coyotes found them first and killed 2. If we had bells on all of them I'm sure we would have found them sooner and had no losses.
2. I can easily tell how the animals are doing by the sound of their bells, which saves time as our property is hilly.
3. It sounds cool. I really like listening to the bells as they are wandering around eating.
