Mark is an absolutely stunning dapple grey draftcross gelding, standing at a solid 15.2hh and weighing in at a sturdy 1250lbs. His silver mane and tail add an extra touch of elegance to his already captivating appearance. Just try to count the dapples on this guy – they're the size of apples! 🍎
But Mark isn't just a pretty face. He's got it all – personality, friendliness, and a calm nature that will melt your heart. He craves attention and is as gentle as can be. This handsome boy comes from the same breeding program as several other top draftcross geldings, all of whom have proven to be fantastic family horses with the right mind and calm demeanor.
Mark has been with us since last year and has undergone extensive natural horsemanship training. He excels in liberty work and even knows some impressive tricks! He can bow, lay down, and even sit on his rump. This guy is a real showstopper!
Not only is Mark well-trained, but he's also been ridden by every member of our family, including our 5-year-old. He's a true family horse who can handle riders of all ages and skill levels. He's been ridden down highways and is completely traffic safe. Trails are his happy place, where he fearlessly crosses creeks, ditches, logs, and tackles rough rocky terrain with ease.
Mark's smooth jog and incredibly easy-to-set lope will make you feel like you're floating on air. His stop, turns, and backing up are effortless, showcasing his exceptional training. He's encountered all kinds of wildlife on the trails, from deer to turkeys, and remains calm and composed throughout. He's even been exposed to cows and dogs without a hitch.
This remarkable horse has conquered the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, taking on every obstacle the trail throws at him. Steep slopes? No problem. Deep creeks? Easy peasy. Downed trees? Piece of cake. Rough terrain? He's sure-footed and confident every step of the way.
