Waiting on the bloodwork to come back. Then we can hopefully get this cutie scheduled for surgery!

For those of you who are curious, Skippy just hit his 2 lbs mark yesterday!! Which means I have to make a phone call to the vet to set up a time for him to go in and get cleared for surgery.

His new family can’t wait for him to get his eye removed so they can bring him home and start loving him!

Skippy went on a five hour road trip yesterday and handled it like a champ!! He’s also eating big kid food too, which makes my life a lot easier 😅

Happy Saturday!! Skippy’s eye is beginning to look better on his own. Those drops and antibiotics are doing their job! He is able to close it now. Which is good, because I won’t have to worry about it drying out and becoming itchy as much. Hoping to get a weight on him tonight, I’m excited to see how much he’s grown since last weekend 😊 thank you to all of his followers, and to those that so generously gave to his fund. I really appreciate you guys!! 🩷

🐝 Enjoying the sights and smells of the outdoors 🐝 he gets his eye removed once he’s over 1lb, and today he is at 14.2 oz so we are getting close! But in the meantime it’s drying up with help from the antibiotics and bothering him less and less

Skippy made a friend today 🐾🐱💕

Meet skippy 🐱✨the soon to be one eyed kitten! I picked him up on August 1st, he was so skinny and had a bad eye infection. With help from my vet, we tried to save it but unfortunately it was too late, the infection had gone on for too long. So until he’s big enough to go under anesthesia to remove the eye my main priority is to just keep it clean and him comfortable.

But the bad eye doesn’t hold him back. Skippy enjoys eating from his bottle, learning to use his new found legs to walk, practicing taking down prey, and of course, napping.

He is the sweetest little baby kitten ❤️🐾
