We've changed the dates!! Classes will now be held October 14, 21, and 28!

Thanks to the lovely folks at The Hound Lounge Doggie Daycare, we have a space to use for a Limited Series Detection Group Class!

This class will run on Tuesday evenings for three consecutive weeks beginning on October 14; class time is 7PM-8:30PM.

Teach your dog how to find and indicate objects!

Why bother? Nosework is an excellent way to provide your dog with fulfilling mental and physical stimulation. It is inexpensive and can be practiced indoors or outdoors, requiring very little space, equipment, or preparation. For most dogs, 5-15 minutes of searches provides the same level of fulfilment as 30-45 minutes of physical exercise and allows your dog to be content for longer.

The class cost includes three 1.5 hour lessons, a take home guide book, and a nosework kit that is yours to keep!

$200 + GST

Class size is limited to six dogs maximum.

Our professional Behaviour Consultant & Canine Trainer, Christina C., has 18 years of experience working with over 8500 dogs in various capacities including instructing group classes, training military and police K9s, personally competing in dog sports, and assisting all shapes and sizes of clients with pretty much every training or behaviour issue you can think of!

Christina has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan, professional canine training and behavioural consulting certifications through the International Association of Canine Professionals, is a consultant for university research teams focusing on canine behaviour and the Human-Animal Bond, and holds a certificate in Working K9 First Aid. Her approach to training is focused on the improvement of her clients' relationships with their dogs, their combined quality of life, and the development of a better understanding of the ways in which we can positively interpret and affect canine behaviour.

She is comfortable and familiar with all types and breeds of dogs, and has personal soft spots for toy breeds such as Chihuahuas as well as powerful breeds such as Cane Corsos and Dobermanns. Her training and behavioural modification approaches are method inclusive, focusing on each client's success and improvement over any specific system, tool, or program.

Rue wanted you all to know that we are wishing everyone the very Happiest of Holidays!

As the year comes to a close, we continue to be so exceptionally grateful to our clients, followers, family, and friends for their love, support, trust, and care over this past year (ESPECIALLY this past year). It's been a bit of a rough one, but each and every one of you has made it so much better than it would have been otherwise.

We can't wait to continue to work together for the remainder of 2024 and into 2025 (with some exciting new training options coming in January)!

While we may not be able to offer Group Classes at this time, we do still have availability for some in-home options!

BEHAVIOUR MODIFICATION
Dealing with more serious or severe issues, Behaviour Modification addresses things like fearfulness, aggression, disruptive reactivity, inappropriate guarding, and more!

PRIVATE LESSONS
This option encompasses building the everyday skills that benefit the whole family! Loose leash walking, polite behaviours at home, and recall are great examples! Private Lessons can also cover special skills like nosework/detection, formal obedience training, and other advanced activities!

PUPPY PACKAGES
A great option to help you through the early days with your rapidly developing and changing puppy! This package includes 4 separate sessions to help you get things going on the right track!

VIRTUAL INTRODUCTIONS

We've posted our final two sets of Group Classes for anyone who may have been waiting for a chance to attend, and we have a couple of spots left open!

Instructor Emily will be teaching on Monday & Thursday evenings for a total of six classes, beginning Monday, October 14! Topics covered will be loose leash walking, neutrality, polite greetings, recalls, and more!

Get those sniffers started, we've got a scent detection class coming right up!

Classes will run Sundays @ 5:00PM
August 11, 18 & 25
September 15, 22 & 29 (Graduation)

We will have a two week break in the middle of this set of classes due to Instructor availability, which means extra practice time for you and your pup!

No previous experience is required, and the class registration fee includes a take home Starter Kit with everything you need to get going.
