And who could celebrate this better than our GoD Mastino ladies themselves –
Nymeria, MaraGoni, Lioness, and Hera – the proud, powerful pillars of our pack.

These four Mastina Napoletano embody what Guard of the District stands for:
Strength, intelligence, dignity, and unbreakable bonds.
Each of them tells her own story:
• Nymeria, the matriarch – guardian of origins, spirit of the pack.
• MaraGoni, powerful yet nurturing – instinct and devotion in one.

Aureo Leo – a small crisis, a big relief.

The last few days have been intense.
On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday we visited the vet because Aureo showed the typical “carp-breathing,” restlessness, and clear signs of stomach pain.

At first, it was said to be nothing serious – but our instinct said otherwise.
So we went back to Dr. Podestà on Sunday, even though he himself wasn’t feeling well.
Despite that, he took the time to thoroughly examine Aureo, give him fluids and gastric medication, and make sure he was stable.

On Monday, we proceeded with a contrast study – and finally found the cause: a foreign-body passage.
Aureo had swallowed a piece of textile he’d somehow managed to steal.

Fortunately, he was able to pass it naturally.
And from that moment on, his spirit returned – hunger, energy, joy – our Aureo Leo was himself again.

Sabine reports he’s getting brighter by the hour.
He’s eating, playing – and in pure happiness, he even peed right next to her foot.

This story reminds us how sensitive the puppy stage truly is:
Even with the greatest attention, there are a thousand little dangers hidden in every day.

For responsible breeders and owners it means:
• Take early signs seriously.
• Don’t wait – act.
• Stay observant and supportive.

That’s what Guard of the District stands for: responsibility, care, and vigilance –
so the Mastino Napoletano can be what it was always meant to be – healthy, functional, powerful, and full of life.

Golden October with the Guard of the District Mastinos

My iPhone surprised me today with a short video – an overview of the past weeks.
And honestly, it captured the spirit of the GoD Mastinos perfectly.

These dogs – our Mastino Napoletano Guard of the District – are so much more than a bloodline.
They are character, intelligence, power, emotion, and family.

At our large property, lovingly called the Distel, they live freely and with dignity, full of energy and joy.
The GoD Mastinos represent the essence of the Mastino Napoletano:
👉 confident yet sensitive
👉 powerful yet balanced
👉 watchful yet calm
👉 majestic yet deeply loving

Every day, we dedicate our time, passion, and patience to providing an environment where they can grow healthy, strong, and emotionally stable.
Our young Mastinos learn to move, play, interact, and take their role in the pack – naturally, without force, without chains, without cages.

But today, we are keeping an eye on one of our youngest – Aureo Leo.
He is under observation, as there’s a possibility he might have swallowed something he shouldn’t have.
For now, he’s active and cheerful, but we must watch closely and stay alert.

That’s part of what it means to be responsible breeders:
Always attentive, never careless, and fully committed to the wellbeing of our dogs.
The development of a young Mastino is a miracle – but it comes with a thousand little challenges.

So this short iPhone video doesn’t just show beauty.
It shows what Guard of the District truly stands for:
Life. Movement. Responsibility. And love for the Mastino Napoletano.
