Thank you for following Mintridge Stud, 2025 sees us rebranding as Ford Equestrian. We will keep you updated with what we get up to here and the progress we make in producing the young horses for all competition.

Today with Storm Darragh hitting we are battening down the hatches….Once passed we look forward to getting the youngsters back out training. We love seeing their progression and development, as they grow in confidence. It’s all come together at Little Gatcombe for Mr.T STW aka Patch owned by a Kevin & Judy Thomas finishing on his dressage scores of 26.5 to take the WIN. This is only his first season eventing and has taken to it like a pro. Very excited about this handsome chap 💚 Devoucoux Judy Thomas

Alvescot Five Star really establishing himself at 2star level with two excellent runs at Wellington and the stunning Cornbury House Horse TrialsExcellent test of 28.8, just rolling the last rail in sj but otherwise a good round in a buzzing atmosphere which is a great experience for them. It was really fantastic to feel him take on the xc with such confidence and loving it. Perhaps a little too much with the exuberant jump we had going into the water causing us to take a slight loop to get our knitting back, coming home with only 6 time. Absolutely thrilled with him. Looking forward to ward to Bicton International with him to conclude our season. 💚

What a confident performance fiver put in at his first International. Posting 26.7 dressage to sit in 2nd place after the first phase and a cracking double clear. Time penalties knocked him to 14th out of 85, keeping his confidence high and consistent was the main aim at this time. We think a lot about this smart boy and his exciting future ahead. Roll on Cornbury 2* 💚 Devoucoux

These two future champs have just been turned out for summer grazing. They were sent in for backing and will come back in the winter for more training. we hope to see them go on and win on the racetrack

Not to be outdone by his stable mate, On Friday we headed to Waverton House with kevin and Judy Thomas beautiful young horse Mr T.STW. A stunning test for 25 and a super double clear to finish 3rd 🥉. Patch is an exciting horse who is only in his first season eventing and is still leaning his job. 🏆🏆Alvescot Five Star takes our first WIN from our new base The Day House Stables, the Sherwood magic is obviously still here which is lucky for us!! Winning the novice at leading from start to finish on 21.5. Absolutely thrilled for the Alvescot five star syndicate, fiver is upgrading to novice this year and after a couple of educational runs, it all came together for a class win. Thanks to everyone involved and especially our top team for keeping the show on the road. Looking forward to the rest of the season with this special boy and the dressage regionals in a few weeks time 💚

With the disappointment of Chatsworth International being abandoned we headed to Hartpury Showjumping. Kevin and Minnie Manoeuvrez…. The little horse with the biggest of hearts steps up again to jump double clear in her first Foxhunter, will she ever stop surprising us 🧡 Alvescot Five Star jumped fantastically in the Newcomers and feels amazing, cant wait to get him out eventing. MR.T STW aka Patch owned by Kevin and also jumped amazing in his first Newcomers. Considering he’s only been jumped for a few months, he’s a very exciting horse for the future 🤎 please stop raining so we can go eventing!!

🏆🥇Enjoyable evening watching Fozzy aka Captain Attridge WIN at Hereford last night for Henry Oliver Racing Ltd and owners Mark & Sue Howells. He was the First horse to arrive in our new yard for pre training so a real thrill to see him go out and smash it. Congratulations to all connected 🥂🥂 and to Henry for having a double win on the night.
