Sammie is a male Black Lab/Hound mix. He is 7 mos old and currently weighs 40 lbs. He is good with other dogs and is more outgoing than his brother. He does bark at cats, so we would preferably not be in a home with cats. He is currently in foster in Olympia, Washington.

Zoe is a 3 mos old, 18 lb, Heeler/Spaniel/Terrier (who knows lol!?!) mix. Will maybe be 30 to 45 lb as an adult (Just a guess)...She is a semi-energetic, affectionate and smart gal that likes calm low-energy dogs and older kids. She could do ok in an apartment as she is quiet and not too hyper. She is a great companion for an active family with a secure 6 ft fence, children over 12 years of age. She is an indoor dog. She will require daily walks/hikes and some dog training once she has all her shots. Currently in foster in Olympia, WA.

Meet Gabby...aka Gabriella! She is 6 1/2 yrs old (doesn't look like or act like 6yo but MC registration says so). She is a good dog but 50% Alpha. She loves other dogs but will play the boss. We had her in the big dog pen for several days with other dogs and she left the little ones alone. It was just another dog around her size that she had a pretty good tussle with. She is a character though...happy, playful, loves attention unless you're wanting to put ear medicine in her ears! 😊 Then she is wanting to get far away from you!
We're not sure what the breed she is. She kind of looks like a Wire-Haired Terrier...3 times larger. She is probably about 60 . We believe she is house trained. She did look twice at the cats but she didn't attack, though wouldn't totally trust her with cats. Gabby is currently in foster in Olympia, WA.

Meet Ranger! We believe he may be a pure breed blue heeler, but since he's a rescue, we have no paperwork. He is a good dog. Ranger is about 38 pounds and approximately 3 years of age. He does great with a female heeler but we believe should NOT be with a male dog. He is friendly to all the humans he has met.
Ranger is very gentle and loving towards people of all ages including young children. He is quite submissive to humans. He has shown that he is accepting of female dogs but not receptive to male dogs. It is recommended that he be with other Non- ALPHA dogs...preferable females. We cannot guarantee his reaction with a male.
He has been an outside dog, so we're not sure if he is house trained but it should be easy to train being that he likes to be outside. His attitude about cats the few times he was in the house he totally ignored them, but when outside if he sees one in the yard, he will bark and want to chase.
He definitely needs training...but Heelers are very smart. They have Border Collie in their background and get their smarts from them. Their sturdiness comes from the Australian Dingo. It took 50 years for the Aussies to get the right mixture of the two breeds to get the Heeler. They are active and intelligent...their humans need to know how to keep the Heeler pleased and occupied. Ranger is currently in foster in Seattle, Washington.

My name is Dezi! I am an 18 mos 50 lb Shepherd mix. I am looking for an active home with a 6 ft fence. I will require daily walks/hikes/runs. No children under 12 years of age as I might jump on you. I will enjoy some dog training. I am crate trained and walk okay on a leash (need some polishing though). I will do best with no cats and meet and greets with dogs my size. Currently in foster in Olympia, Washington. As with most dogs Dezi would benefit from having a good alpha leader (human) or possibly another well trained dog. He came up from TX thru HHS, Helotes Humane Society to the NW

Panzi is a 3 yr old 40 lb Catahoula/Shepherd/Rottie/Boxer mix. She is energetic, shy but affectionate (once she gets to know you) and smart. She likes other dogs and teen kids. She is a great companion for an active family with a secure 6 ft fence, children over 12 years of age or active single person. Shy Dog experience is required. She is an indoor dog. She will require daily walks/hikes and some dog training. Will require 6 ft fence. No apartments or rentals. No cats. Currently in foster in Olympia, Washington. She is from HHS, Helotes Humane Society who sent her up from Helotes, TX to the PNW to get a loving forever home.

We have a happy story to share...Thelma and her sister, Louise came to us from to a good samaritan near San Antonio, TX. Many of the dogs we post on this si😀te come from that area, there are so many homeless dogs there that need homes...
Thelma and Louise were found wandering and totally lost. They were covered in ticks, had ear mites, were skinny and thirsty. Sadly, they were most likely dumped The person that rescued them off the streets tried to find an owner...but no luck. We were pretty sure they were dropped. These 2 pups have wonderful personalities...fun, happy, playful. They deserved to find loving homes to give them the life they deserve.
Our partners at Pet Central SATX rescue took them in, cared for and rehabilitated them, and we are happy to report they got adopted to new families!
Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives! 😀

Hazel is a 8 mo old 20 lb Greyhound mix. In foster in Olympia, WA She is a shy, semi energetic, very affectionate gal that likes other dogs and kids over 12 yrs of age. She is a great companion for an active family with a secure 6 ft fence, another dog or no dog. Owned apartments/town homes okay but no rentals.
