No one thinks about this. Poor animals! They didn't know what it was they did so wrong to have it's master leave them and never come back. These dogs will forever have PTSD over it's Master leaving them. 😥

We would like to wish this goofy goober a Happy 1st Birthday! Bert brings smiles and laughter everywhere he goes. He truly knows how to lighten up the room. He is working hard in helping his Mama get through her daily life as a service dog in training. Thank you for joining our pack family, it wouldn't be the same without you.❤️🐾

Happy International Dog Day!🐾❤️ Dogs come in all shapes and sizes and they all have a different purpose. Wether it be Service Dogs, Therapy Dogs, Working dogs or Family pets, they all hold a special place in our hearts. We feel so blessed to have had the chance to work with all these amazing dogs and their handlers. We've made so many new furry friends and their handlers as well as added new members to our pack family. We have learnt something from each and every one of you.

It's not what we have in life, but who we have in our lives that matters. Each and every one of you in this group has formed a very special bond with Tracy and I. Not forgetting to mention the bond with each other.

We're excited to continue on this path with each and every one of you. We can't wait see what the future holds for each of you individually and together as a pack❤️🐾

Some new faces and paws joined us tonight on their first ever pack walk. We gathered at the Pembroke Marina and our walk turned into an impromptu family reunion. Winnie , Tigger and Luna got to spend some time with their father Zinga. Newman didn't mind the size of his new furry friends. Together we walked down to Riverside and back all while continuing to work through our basics and how to keep moving forward when obstacles, such as passing dogs, bicycles and scooters, come our way. All the handlers and their dogs did an amazing job, we are so proud of you's! Thank you to everyone who came out, we hope to see you again at our next walk!♥️🐾

Today's walk was held at the Alice and Fraiser trail. This is one of our favourite places to walk because we are surrounded by the beauty of nature. The peace and tranquility this place gives has a way of recharging your soul. There is nothing better then being surrounded by positive people and their dogs 🐾♥️

Its Teddie Tuesday! Today Teddie ventured out to Walmart to work on taking in all the sights, sounds, and movements of a public store. When we walk into a store we are accustomed to the employees rushing around, stocking shelfs and pushing around carts, to the heavy foot traffic of the other customers, children who are voicing there opinions about not getting a toy ,babies who are crying, the music playing overhead and the loud announcements that get made. Even the noises the freezer doors make when they close or the rattling of the metal cart. Everything that seems so normal to us can seem to scary and overwhelming to puppies that are starting out in service dog training. Teddie got to ride along in the cart and took in all these things like a real pro. With lots of praises, positive reinforcements, and some tasty treats, we can make a scary, overwhelming situation turn into a positive fun time. Teddie did amazing today and we are so proud of him🐾♥️

What do you call it when 2 Great Danes take off into the woods?Prison break!! Winnie and Tigger decided that when their mom's back was turned, it would be the perfect opportunity to go on a solo adventure. We got there just in time to join in on the search party. Funny part was that our training session today was to work on their recall. After what seemed like forever, the girls finally came back. After checking them over and making sure they were both okay, we jumped right into our training. Their punishment was no treats, tied on long leads and Tigger had to wear her orange vest that looked like it was handed out from the state penitentiary. They were so mad that they turned their faces away from us. Can you see the pouty looks on both of their faces? All in all I think after today they may have learnt their lesson. We are so happy that Winnie and Tigger got back home safely to their pack. 🐾🥰

Today is Magnificent Monday. We had the pleasure to train with a Magnificent women and her grand daughter. This women whether she knows it or not is an inspiration to so many people in our Paws With A Purpose family and pack.. Her granddaughter is just as wonderful as she is🥰❤️. We are so proud of this little girl and her handling abilities. She showed up to training with her treat pouch and was raring to go. She handled Rusty like she had been a handler for years. She's well on her way at such a young age and her knowledge about animals is remarkable. The boys had their first walk at the Marina which they loved so much. Being it was their first time there, they settled in so fast that it was a beautiful peaceful day to train with them. These 2 boys are so smart that we are going to show Little Miss M trick training so she can train with Rosco and Rusty. Oh,and did we forget to tell you she is also fearless!!! She did some training with 2 XL dogs and never blinked an eye. Tobias and Luna had a fantastic time training with Little Miss M ❤️

Meet the Superstars of this week! We started off with a group training session for our service dogs. We worked on our Heel, Sit, Down and Stay. Rusty loves the down,stay command and does it well. He hates doing push ups with Tracy🤣🤣!!!!Everyone worked hard and still had time to be a little cheeky ( Tobias, Luna and Roxy). Teddie had his training and got caught picking on Miss V. Can anyone say BUSTED!!! 🤣♥️
Next up is our obedience crew. Winnie worked on her sit stay and big sister Tigger showed her how it's done 😉.Then came time for the boys ( Rosco & Rusty) to do their training but first the boys had to show us the chickens. The Boys worked so hard on their "To Far" command and their " Check in" command. Tracy and Rusty was showing Rosco how to do a center and pressure therapy. The boys had their best friend in the whole wide world also working with them. Their little human friend is a training pro!!! I believe by the time she grows into an adult she will not only be a chicken whisperer but the most amazing dog trainer the world will ever see ♥️. Rusty and Rosco is a pro now for their pack call but Harley ( pug) has also learnt it. The only problem is he has to be taken back home because when Tracy does her call ALL DOGS come running!!! After the boys had their training they got to have a birthday cookie. Happy 1 year birthday boys we love you 🥰🎂🎂🎂. After a great training session and birthday cookies chowed down it was nap time 😴😴😴

Meet the superstars of this week! For some we worked on setting up a boundary of going to far into the woods. Everyone in the pack did phenomenal. But did you know through repetition training and the command of " To far"you can actually train the entire pack on setting up a boundary that they will not cross over. Ted-E-Bear worked on his spa training as well as his service dog training. He is head over paws when his mom plays patty cake with him. Then their are " The Boys" these two brothers are so amazing. They too have been training with boundary training. The boys love their play time together but if they venture to far into the woods they now know what a pack call is. Their mom keeps saying she needs to get a voice recording of it because she can't hit the high pitch that Tracy can do. We have been working with these boys in just a short amount of time but they sure have stolen our hearts 💕 🐾

With warmer weather on its way, we'd like everyone to also think about their furry four legged friends. We at Paws With A Purpose go by the rule, if it's to hot for you then it's deffiantly to hot for your dogs.the best times to get outside when it's too hot is early mornings and late evenings. Please also make sure that you have fresh cold water available at all times when they are outside in the heat. Like humans they can have heat strokes to. 🐾❤️

Splish Splash Tank was taking a bath🫧🧽 Tank has been a past client of Tracy's and today he needed a spa day. He kept stealing our rubber scrubby so we decided to let him keep it. 🥰🐾❤️

Today was a beautiful day to be out on a pack walk. We met at Alice and Fraser rec center to walk their tranquil path. It was wonderful to see some new faces and paws. Our pack walks are meant to take that time in our busy lives for our fur babies.It's also to get out in nature and take that time that we so desperately need. It was amazing 👏 By the time we got back to the rec center everyone had settled in including the dogs 😉. The more you come to the walks the more you will see just how close these dogs come together as a family. To bond with each other without ever being officially introduced is pretty awesome to see.
