1 month of being a mumma so far❤️
1. Becoming a mum has been one of the most surreal, exciting, and emotional moments of my life. Nothing prepares you for becoming a parent, but as soon as your little one is here, your instincts kick in.
2. Being a twin mum is even harder! Twice as many nappy changes, twice the amount of feeding, twice the amount of love you can give back🥰
3. Postpartum anxiety/depression is nothing to be ashamed of. It's something I am currently going through, but there is so much support out there, and just so you know, you're not alone. Reach out to those around you...
4. Time flies by so quickly! One minute, you're in the hospital holding your baby. The next, they're holding their head up and reaching their milestones. Make the most of every newborn moment.
5. Reach out to those around you. Parenting can be lonely, Reach out to other mums and support groups. Honestly, it's so worth it, and having someone else going through the same journey with you is amazing.
6. Take your time. Self care is just as important as looking after your baby. Take a bath, wash your hair, or even sit down and have a coffee. If anything, I've learnt that in order to take care of my girls, I need to take care of myself first 🥰
