SCHEDULED FOR EUTHANASIA 8/2 @ 11AM FOR MEDICAL TX, Dallas “Tyson” senior shepherd mix with eye issues
Tyson has an owner somewhere.
He arrived already microchipped, which means he must remain on stray hold until 8/2. If no one comes for him, he is already scheduled to be euthanized the very day his hold ends.
Right now, Tyson needs far more than a way home.
He is a geriatric dog (despite the shelter labeling him as 5 years old) suffering from a painful eye infection with thick green discharge from both eyes, along with severe arthritis affecting his hips and spine. X-rays revealed advanced arthritis in both hip joints and significant spinal changes, making it painful for him to move. He has already started pain medication and antibiotic eye drops, but he needs continued veterinary care and monitoring that the shelter cannot provide.
Despite everything he’s dealing with, Tyson is incredibly gentle. When a volunteer visited him, he happily allowed pets and leaned his whole body in for more affection.
He deserves more than spending his final days in pain inside a shelter kennel.
Whether his family is found or a hero steps forward after his hold, Tyson needs someone willing to give him the comfort, medical care, and compassion he deserves.
Please help us make sure this sweet boy gets that chance.
