Check out the jack o’lantern our chickens helped carve last week! Did you know over 1 billion pounds of pumpkins are sent to landfills each year? If you’re looking for a more sustainable way to dispose of your pumpkins this year, bring them over to the Urban Farm and we can add them to our compost pile. Happy Halloween!

Leave pumpkin carving to your chickens this year because engaged chickens are happier chickens! 🐓 Did you know Chickens need mental and physical stimulation to stay happy and healthy? They love to feast on veggies and compost, and especially pumpkins!🎃

Preschool students visited the farm for a lesson all about pumpkins! After enjoying a story with Farmer Kim about these fall favorites and exploring their various textures, the students ventured to GIGM’s pumpkin patch to pick their very own pumpkin to take home!

We extend our heartfelt thank you to Samsung Electronics America for their wonderful volunteering efforts in honor of their company-wide Day of Service! We were thrilled to welcome 25 employees who dedicated their time and effort to help us with various tasks, including harvesting and processing vegetables for the farm stand and cleaning up the tomato beds.
Thank you to - your hard work and enthusiasm made a significant impact, and we’re grateful for their support in helping our farm thrive!

Farm Friends presents: Pollinators!

In celebration of the holiday week, The Urban Farm Stand will only be open on Thursday, July 4th from 3-6pm with extended hours for CSA Members from 9:30am-6pm. We will be closed on Saturday, July 6th and will return to our normal schedule next week.
