Jolly is a 11 year old 14.3 hand paint gelding. He has a big personality and is the first to meet you at the gate.
He has three very smooth gaits and is a reliable trail horse. He is brave and level headed and loves leading out on the trail. He loves swimming! Crossing water is no problem for this boy. He is also the most fun and comfortable horse to ride ba****ck we have! You can ride him on a loose rein.
He is suitable for an intermediate rider or a beginner rider with an instructor. We often use Jolly for our beginner friends to learn and trail ride on and he takes good care of them. In this video I pulled him out to ride for the first time in about 6 months. Jolly has a very intermittent schedule with us letting him sit for weeks/months and then getting him out to ride. He does well with this but would do better with someone who has a consistent schedule.

He will hop right in the trailer and travels like a champ.
He can be shod or go barefoot. We normally keep shoes on him in the warmer months when we’re riding more and pull them in the Winter. He is up to date on coggins and teeth and vaccinations.

Jolly is a great and we love him however he has a herd management/behavioral issue. He is possessive when turned out with mares has shown stallion like behavior surrounding this. We have had issues handling this and find it’s much better if we don’t turn him out with mares. Because of this if you are a beginner this is not the horse for you. He needs someone who is experienced. If you want more information DM me!

What a week! Riding in the clinic at has changed my life. Mcginnis Meadows is unlike any other place. They are completely dedicated to Buck Brannaman horsemanship. The way they train for and care for their horses is so respectable. This is the best riding and horsemanship I have ever seen. I had the pleasure of riding one of their geldings, Tucker, in this clinic and was absolutely blown away. Tucker has been fully trained by the head trainer Dez, and I feel so blessed I got to ride him. He taught me so much each day of the clinic.
This was so much more then I could have ever imagined. I had SO much fun while also getting pushed as a rider.

Yallah’s first endurance ride was a huge success! This was her first competition. She blew me away with how calm she was with dogs, kids, tents, bikes and all other spooky things. She pulsed right down and breezed through the vetting. Can’t wait for the next one!

We had a productive morning before the heat kicked in. tackled the paint geldings and I rode the Arabian mares. 😆 We did an early morning ride with our endurance horses followed by a light ride with Elizabeth and Buttercup helping to babysit baby Yallah.

He is athletic, sweet and super smart but still has some learning to do. I am so excited to work with this big guy.

The girls are settling right into their new pasture. 🐎 It is an exciting weekend as they made the move to a good friend's beautiful ranch here in Goshen Arkansas. I will still be doing horse sales, training and lessons, but starting this week I will begin splitting my time between Goshen and . 😃

Yesterday Hummel and I were invited to do a riding demonstration at the Ulysses S Grant Historical site to celebrate the former President's 200th Birthday. Grant loved horses and particularly loved throughbreds and throughbred racing so having an ex race horse at the event was very special.
We were asked to do a historic dressage presentation. I based our presentation on old calvary drills to stay true to the era. We also included maneuvers done in the 1912 Olympics. The 1912 Olympics were the first to include dressage and at the time it was only open to men in the Calvary because it was a military sport. The riders would have to prove their horses were well tuned and in sync because it was so important on the battlefield.
I really enjoyed this as well as giving a talk about the historic saddles they have on site in their museum. Hummel did such a good job doing his presentation twice; but his favorite part was getting loved on by all the visitors who stopped by to meet him and give him a carrot. 😆

Rhapsody's first cow encounter. 🐎 🐮 This is great work for the babies because not only does it get them listening to you well and really using their mind and body; it can be done at a walk so it doesn't put the wear and tear on their growing bodies of other challenging activities.

After the first few months of the year being filled with cancellations, horse and rider injuries and other various setbacks we finally made it to our first ride of the year. The Top of the Rock ride in Indiana had a great turn out, gorgeous trails and perfect weather.
We had such a fun time and I am so proud of my students and good friends Angie and Bailey who have worked so hard getting themselves and their horses ready. I am also proud of my mare Jinx, she came in first place and got best condition with plenty of energy left after 25 miles! We are so grateful to all the volunteers, vets and riders who made this happen. We can't wait for the next one!
