The Wet Nose, LLC We are proud to bring the SF Bay Area and beyond comprehensive in-person and remote services! Our approach was created with the busy pet owner in mind!

Private dog training, daily and overnight house sitting, and day-time pet care are all available! Most dog training companies don't offer pet care and most pet care companies don't offer dog training. Here at The Wet Nose, LLC, we take dog training, pet care, and house sitting seriously. By offering the combination of services that we provide, we can give you an experience that is seamless, practi

cal, and user-friendly! With The Wet Nose, LLC, you won’t have to worry about the difficulties of coordinating with multiple businesses for your in-home pet care needs. We have customized services just for you!


• TRAINING •
When it comes to dog training, The Wet Nose, LLC can show and guide you on how to communicate with your dog and develop a strong relationship that can last a lifetime. Utilizing a reward-focused training system and the psychological principles of operant and classical conditioning, we will teach you how to add structure and balance to your dog’s life so you can enjoy every moment spent together!


• PET CARE •

Pet care services are completely customizable, and we can serve a variety of animal species. These services are great for breaking up the work day or a weekend day trip! We can perform in-home pet care visits for many different animals! Whether you have furry, feathered, slimy, or scaly friends, we’ve got you covered! Play time, back yard exercise, mental stimulation, a snack, a meal break or cuddles are all on the agenda!


• DOG WALKING •

Our walks are structured, aerobic, and fun! Not only will your dog be happy and physically healthy with our walks– regular walking can even provide solutions to common behavior problems at home. After walking, your dog will be able to relax and decompress with that post-walk state-of-mind! We can also lightly reinforce any training you have previously done with your dog. Since our walks are individual and private, we don’t have an entire pack of dogs to care for. This means customized walks that cater to YOUR dog’s breed, size, age, abilities, and any special needs they may have!

🐾 January is Train Your Dog Month! 🐶✨ Start the new year with a happy, well-behaved pup! Here are some quick training tips:

🎓 Training Tip: Use short, consistent training sessions (5-10 mins at most) to teach new things. Dogs can retain information better this way than having to sit through lengthy sessions. Always reward your dog with praise, treats, or playtime!

🎯 Trick of the Month: Teach a ”place" or "go to bed" command for a calm, cozy spot for your dog during busy times at home while you wrap up the holidays!

1. Designate a specific bed or comfy spot and reward your pup every time they choose to go there.

2. Once your dog figures out they are treated/praised when they go to their place, you can add your verbal command *right before* your dog lays down on their spot.

3. Once your dog is settled on their “place,” give them their reward/treat as always!

4. Lots and lots of practice makes for a reliable command!

🐾❄️ As the temperatures drop, don't forget to protect your furry friend's paws!
Salt, ice, and cold temperatures can be harsh on paws, leading to discomfort, irritation, and even poisoning.
Take simple steps to keep your pet's paws safe and healthy this winter:
* Wipe paws with a wet towel after outdoor adventures
* Apply paw wax or balm to protect against salt and ice
* Use dog boots for protection
* Trim hair around paws to prevent ice and snow accumulation
