We are all about giving back to the community. That doesn’t stop at handlers and their dogs but goes to the active/veteran military people and their dependents who give their blood sweat and tears to defend our country, the first responders that keep our cities and streets safe, the doctors/nurses/hospital staff that heal our sick, the teachers that teach our kids, the students trying to make the world a better place, the truckers who keep the shelves stocked, the Non Profits that do so much good for so many different facets of our community, and also the realtors who help us find the perfect stop to build our lives in.

Took a few days off social for some mental rejuvenation.

Sometimes we like to tho k that throwing ourselves into everything else but not dealing with the real s**t will just make it go away. Hard truth it won’t. Mental health is paramount. Definitely glad to have this dude around.

I learned that my happy place is out there finding new places and exploring. The world is full of amazing places that few see because we get so caught up in the here and now vs taking a min to look outside our box.

Let us in!

Originally I had a different post that was going to go up today but then I found this picture.

Meet Nala and Archie. Nala is the inspiration and drive behind .co she saved my life. Archie was Nala’s best friend they were inseparable.

When I got out of the Israeli Army in 2010 I suffered from PTSD (not something that necessarily goes away) and in Israel at that time there wasn’t much in the way of help. I did research and saw that in the US the use of dogs was a huge success for veterans suffering from PTSD.

I rescued her as a pup in 2011 and the effect she had was intoxicating. The calm she brought into my life was nothing short of refreshing. For a couple of year I had been fighting my inner demons alone but now there was a being that just melted it all away. She came back from Israel with me in 2015 and lived with my family and I until August 24th 2020.

Nala was so much more then a dog for me. She was my best friend, confidant, therapist, and so much more.

Dogs are incredible creatures who give everything of themselves without expecting anything in return. They don’t give two s**ts about the size of your house or the car you drive. They are fine sitting with you in utter silence and truthfully sometimes that’s all both of us need.

Go hug and love on your dog.
